The best hospital for liver in India. I myself the patient came from Mumbai for treatment. I was in last stage liver cirrhosis. I was hospitalized for a month under the supervision of Dr.Murali Shastry,Dr.Madhumita and Dr. S.k Sarin ( Director ILBS) As my condition was very critical they tried their level best to cure me through medicine. But finally they advised for a liver transplant. We are introduced to Dr. Viniyendra pamecha HOD surgery. He is a very soft spoken, kind hearted, cool and confident person. He is like God to our family. He along with his team operated me.Its a successful operation. Its been three years to my surgery and I am doing good. Even now the drs are available 24/7. Now we are sending other patients to Ilbs for treatment. Almost all the drs are very cordial very soft spoken. I will always be grateful to all of them .

My mother got diagnosed with a tumor in liver; identified as hepatocellular carcinoma i.e. liver cancer. We were recommended ILBS with good hope but, it was all bs. After seeing a junior doctor for about 5-8 min, Dr. Sarin took a look and suggested the junior doctor to send us to Radiation, Dr. Hanuman and told us about some blood tests. Apparently, they also wrote some medicine and tests about which they never told us specifically. In Radiation, they told us that things can be controlled by SBRT and will cost 1.35 lacs. They asked us to come after two days for CT required for Radiation planning (they never gave the report for this test). They told us come after a week and also to bring blood test reports. In blood test report, it was shown to be HCV RNA test positive (& possibility of ascites quite soon). I mentioned this to her as I was warned by another doctor there. Dr. Hanuman Prasad Yadav, Dr. Shipra Gupta and Dr. Rishabh Kumar told us that hepatitis C can be treated later and SBRT is more urgent in this case. Very obviously, they had to stop after 4 radiation and then they said to go home and to take glutathione and lascilactone for two weeks and then come back and consult hepatology. My suspicion is they knew this already but, just delayed anyways to rip-off the money and run their business anyways. Then mummy got pain in stomach. Then the very next day, they told us to talk in herpetology where doctors are now saying that there’s nothing that we can do. They asked to get PET-CT which shows how much cancer has spread. This was one month after we started treatment. If we knew already that it’s metastasis, we’d have left the treatment to go Mumbai or, simply home. But, they knew this one too so, they delayed, again to make some more money. They suggested to get admitted just for monitoring 2-3 days. They did endoscopy during that time, the same day she got bleeding (~400 ml). She had to be in HDU for 4 days then we took her to Patna. They charged for such nonsense list of medicines (~50000 per day, e.g. 3 boxes of gloves with 500 in each box!!). One Doctor even threatened to do endoscopy to make the condition of my mother worse so that we couldn’t get her discharged. We consulted at least 4 different hospitals and 5 different doctors. Almost everyone agreed that this was a serious case from the beginning and some if not most of their course of action were questionable. I'm afraid it's prevalent in all of their work and is promoted from top administrators. They have forgotten the meaning of service that doctors are generally assigned with.

My mother is Dr. RP Mathur's patient since 2 years and he is no doubt one of the best doctors.

Poor management. Making the patients go round in circles for a simple OPD appointment, and straight out lying to us does not look good for the hospital. I've been told different things about the same issue. The appointment system does not work. One time I got an appointment and it took me an extra 2 hours than my appointment to even see the doctor. Next time I went without appointment, relying on their token system, but now they say you need an appointment to meet the doctor. It's tough for people in the NCR to come to a hospital so far away, only to be disappointed. This is supposed to be the best hospital in their field, but I don't see how they manage to retain that spot when they don't have a shred of compassion for their patients.

A very good hospital. My friend was admitted here for Hepatitis B. He was taken care of very well and he recovered. We were all scared when his condition deteriorated in between and he was shifted to the HDU. The doctors were very good in the HDU, Dr. Vikram Bhatia was very professional and Dr. Naman was very helpful, he regularly updated me about the patient's condition and explained the disease process very clearly to me in simple words. He was extremely kind, empathetic and understanding. I really pray that more doctors develop this nice attitude which Dr. Naman had towards us and the patient alike.

This hospital is very good for liver transplant. Less expensive in comparision with Medanta Hospital (Gurugram). Dr. Pamecha Sir (Head Surgeon) is best. He saved my father's life. Transplant was done in emergency. But when we stayed there for a while before transplant. Nurses and junior doctors are not good. Every other junior doctor will tell you different thing and you will get confused and senior doctor don't have time to talk to you.

The worst hospital. I went in for an emergency and the doctors seemed least concerned. Firstly, the parking system is extremely unsuitable for emergency patients. It takes more than 10 minutes just to park car and they refuse to let emergency patients park outside. The doctors inside are busy on their cellphones. I asked them where their surgeon was, they said, "He is on his way". They refused to tell me how long it would take for the surgeon to arrive and instead told me to be doing my registration in the meantime. They remarked that this was a 'liver hospital and not an emergency ward. I had gone to the hospital as its website claimed 'all emergency provisions are available'. Very very dissappointed, dissatisfied, and irritated with this institution. Don't visit if you are expecting dedicated doctors and an emergency-ready atmosphere.
