Was never fond of Yoga but after joining Sivananda Yoga centre in Dwarka, I dont feel like quitting. It's amazing. Love the professionalism teachers display at the centre. Yoga is good for both body and mind and Sivananda centre is perfect for learning and practicing yoga. Positive Communication, Quality, Professionalism

This center is amazing! I am from Canada and when I came to India I was shocked by all the noises and the activity outside but here it is like there is a shield around and you don't get too affected by that. You can find peace and relax from your daily activities with the teachings that are coming from the Vedas the source of yoga. They teach the same knowledge that as been transmitted by the first yogis thousands of years ago and it as not changed for all these years because it works. You should try and find inner peace in this stressful world. Om Namah Shivaya

I do not understand why everyone is praising this place. Might be in North India, people haven't truly seen authentic Yoga places. Looking at the positive reviews, I went for the free weekend class. The class was utterly disgusting and difficult asanas given to the people in their first class. Such kind of difficult asanas can be performed only after practicing Yoga for a certain period of time. Instead of feeling better after a Yoga class, I was rather angry at the ignorance of these people and the all those who had given misleading reviews for this place.

I remember the day when I had entered the Centre expecting some physical workout regime called Asanas and Pranayama. What followed was something that changed my entire perspective of Yoga. Sivananda Yoga for me turned out to be the spiritual way to attain physical and mental health so different… so divine! The teachers at the Centre do their volunteer work with all devotion and dedication. Helpful, polite and knowledgeable are but a few qualities that would describe them.

I have spent around 2 months in this institute which is an outcome of the efforts of Swami Vishnudevananda. This institute is a part of the global network of Swami Sivananda Yoga Vedanta institutes. In this centre, they profess the original teachings of Swami Vishnudevanada. All the staff members here are volunteers and by themsleves maintain the entire institute. The ones in White pants and Yellow shirts are the staff members and they are the teachers, the receptionists, the cook, the cleaners etc. Its a part of their sacred Karma Yoga and the serenity of the place is a reflection of the principles they are rooted in. If you are looking for a traditional Yoga centre, this is it. And after you visit the place, dont forget to sip a glass of Herbal Drink at the reception. The staff there will remind you - Its not "herbal tea", its "herbal drink" Health is Wealth, Peace of Mind is Hapiness and Yoga Shows The Way - Swami Vishnudevananda.

First of all thanks for all the staff members are really nice people. Also as well as yoga centre experience i observe very peacefully & positively. I really observed if you are doing daily practice in yoga you feel internally relax & calm. Body automatically internal self healing day by day. my request to all peoples please follow yoga in daily life. Shivanada Yoga Ashram at Dwarka is a true manifestation of Yoga and Spirituality. A. place where one can feel the positive energy. The utmost dedication of the ashram teachers is beyond explanation. Om Namah Shivaya everyone! I recently joined Sivananda Dwarka centre and completed my beginners course under the supervision of Mr. Prakash, a very dedicated yoga teacher/practitioner. We were 3 to 4 students (from all walks of life) in the class which means everyone was well looked after for corrections. In the first 8 beginners class, we were taught all the 12 aasanas with step by step guidance. The stiffness in my body felt easy in no time. I felt very light after every class. The 90 mins of yoga class became the highlight of my day in no time. It’s a zen feeling. The calm in mind, freedom in my thoughts, relaxed breathing and overall flexibility are just the few things to start explaining my experience with. I highly recommend this to all the age groups.
