Very unique place, Lack of information about the place, and video must be made and displayed in a big screen at the time of open hours about what is the object for what purpose (there are different - different objects used to watch the celestial bodies) but no one knows wat actually it is

Jantar Mantar is a collection of large astronomical instruments built in the early 18th century by Maharaja Jai Singh II to measure time and track celestial bodies. While the instruments themselves are unique, the experience was a little disappointing and underwhelming. Although there is a sign for each structure, it’s difficult to visualise how they were actually used, as there are no diagrams or interactive explanations, and in some cases you can only view the exterior. As a result, the site can be covered in about 10–15 minutes and you may not leave feeling much more informed than when you arrived. Adequate toilets are available on site. Visiting Jantar Mantar was such a unique experience! It’s incredible to see how advanced India’s astronomy and architecture were centuries ago. The giant instruments built by Maharaja Jai Singh II are both scientific and artistic — you can literally feel the brilliance of that era. It’s not a very big site, so you can explore everything in about an hour, but every corner tells a story. If you love history, science, or just discovering something different, Jantar Mantar is definitely worth a stop on your Delhi itinerary! Jantar Mantar visit karke kaafi acha experience raha. Yahan aake mujhe realise hua ki pehle ke time mein log science aur astronomy ko kitni deeply samajhte the. Sabhi instruments ko dekh kar kaafi interesting laga aur unka purpose samajhna bhi acha experience tha. Place ka environment kaafi peaceful hai aur photos lene ke liye bhi achha hai. Overall, mera experience positive raha aur agar aap history aur science mein interest rakhte ho, toh yeh jagah ek baar zaroor visit karni chahiye. A historic monument tucked away amid the bustle of Connaught Place. The site is clean and well maintained, and I had a wonderful time there with my family. 💯 Highly recommended if you’re interested in history and monuments, or if you’re simply looking for a calm, peaceful place to spend quality time with loved ones or even by yourself. Recently I visited this place Jantar Mantar is an intriguing location where science and history collide. You are left wondering how precisely time and space were measured millennia ago by the enormous stone instruments. It's conveniently located to Connaught Place and provides a peaceful respite from the bustle of the city. Even a quick stroll around the site seems serene and educational, though a tour can help you better understand its purpose. You can also visit there... Thanks for reading 😊😊 Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No

Jantar Mantar in Delhi is a fascinating historical observatory, constructed in 1724 by Maharaja Jai Singh II. Situated near Connaught Place, it features a collection of substantial astronomical instruments designed for observing the movements of the sun, moon, and planets. The site gracefully combines scientific principles with architectural design, showcasing striking geometric structures and large sundials that continue to captivate visitors. Although modern buildings in the vicinity have a minor impact on its original function, Jantar Mantar endures as a testament to India's scientific legacy. Guests frequently commend its distinctive design and convenient access, though they often suggest that a guided tour can enhance understanding of the instruments' purposes. In summary, it offers a concise yet significant experience for individuals interested in astronomy, architecture, or the rich history of Delhi. I visited Jantar Mantar in the evening and had a wonderful experience. The astronomical instruments, especially the massive sundial (Samrat Yantra), beautifully showcase the scientific advancement of India in the 18th century. It’s fascinating to see how accurately time and celestial movements were measured even back then. The detailed writeups helped understand the history much better.. The gardens and lawns are very well maintained, and the entire place is clean and peaceful. Visiting in the evening felt like a calm walk through history. A must-visit spot in Delhi for anyone interested in science, heritage, and a serene atmosphere. Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No
