India Gate is one of the most iconic landmarks in Delhi and a must-visit destination for anyone exploring the capital city. Built as a war memorial, it stands as a tribute to thousands of Indian soldiers who sacrificed their lives during World War I. The monument is also closely associated with India's Republic Day celebrations, as the famous Republic Day Parade takes place along Kartavya Path near India Gate every year. The entire area is exceptionally well maintained, with beautifully landscaped lawns, fountains, walking paths, and ample open space for visitors. It is a perfect place to spend an evening with friends and family, enjoy the pleasant atmosphere, and admire the illuminated monument after sunset. A major attraction is the recently added food court, where visitors can enjoy a variety of dishes from different parts of India. Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No

It was really a very great experience visiting there. This was the first time I visited India Gate in Delhi. The light looks awesome on India Gate at night. If you haven't visited this before, do keep it on your check list for travel. There are also few food stalls nearby like tea shops, fries, etc.

Before war memorial , it was the main structure, now war memorial is main structure for Indian Heroes. But it is still very popular among tourists coming to Delhi. Entry free. Beautiful lawns, fountains and parking now at Mansingh road. Food vendors near parking you get, if need something.

My visit to India Gate was truly memorable. It’s an outstanding place with a grand presence that immediately captures your attention. The view during the evening is especially beautiful—the lights, the open sky, and the overall atmosphere make it a perfect spot to just stand and take everything in. However, it does tend to get quite overcrowded, especially in the evening hours, which can take away a bit from the experience. Also, it was a bit disappointing that sitting in the nearby lawns and parks was not allowed, as that would have made the visit more relaxing and enjoyable. Overall, despite the crowd, it’s still a must-visit place in Delhi for its beauty, vibe, and iconic status. Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait

🇮🇳 A Place That Instantly Fills You With Pride! Even After Multiple Visits, The Feeling Never Fades. India Gate is not just a monument, it’s an emotion deeply connected with every Indian. This iconic war memorial stands as a tribute to the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the nation, and visiting it always brings a strong sense of respect and patriotism. The entire area is well-maintained, with wide open lawns perfect for relaxing with family and friends. Evenings are the best time to visit—cool breeze, beautifully lit surroundings, and a lively atmosphere make the experience truly enjoyable. The presence of Amar Jawan Jyoti adds a deeply emotional touch, reminding visitors of the sacrifices made for our freedom. Experience: Having visited multiple times, the charm of this place never fades. Information: Easily accessible, great for evening outings, and surrounded by food vendors and open spaces. Opinion: A must-visit landmark in Delhi that perfectly blends history, pride, and peaceful vibes. A visit here is not just sightseeing—it’s a moment of connection with the spirit of India. 🇮🇳✨ Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait

India Gate is a magnificent war memorial located right in the heart of New Delhi. It was built by the British to commemorate the Indian soldiers who died in World War I and the Afghan Wars. Designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens, it often reminds people of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. Today, the area is a popular gathering spot for picnics and a key site for national events like the Republic Day parade.and India Gate in a 138(42)miter feet tall. Its foundation stone was laid on February tenth, nineteen twenty-one, and it was dedicated to the nation in nineteen thirty-one. ✨❤️
