Indian Loom

You've got to be prepared for a hard sell but if you stick to your guns its worth it to get tailor-made for off-the-shelf prices. Asif looked after me and I got a tailor-made linen blazer for a fraction of the price back in UK, delivered to my hotel on 2 days. It was so good that I went back for a cashmere wool one which they sorted for me in a day. I chose the material and lining and the tailoring is exquisite.

I purchased two scarves for my mother and spent a total of 14,200 rupees. The salesperson claimed that the scarves were handmade and made of top-quality wool. I was delighted to buy them at that time. However, when I returned to the hotel, an Indian waiter told me that the scarves were not worth that much and were only worth around 1,700 rupees. I feel very disappointed, and like other reviews, I must say that the shopping experience here is poor. It feels like the salespersons are always trying to force you to buy something. Totally scam things!

Multiple street touts and even rickshaw drivers at Connaught Place herded tourists to this store, some going so far as to lie that the place that we actually wanted to go was closed. The store’s products and salesmen are nice, but shoppers should beware of this store’s tactics. Also, they forced me to write a positive review under their watch first.

Scam! Beware! Tourist Trap! We were approached by a guy in the street in Connaught Place area, he said where we we're going there were protests and not safe and recommend Indian loom and even got us a 40 rupee tuk tuk to take us there. Immediately they started upselling goods and suits relentlessly, claiming to have sorts of high quality materials and saying they could make a tailored suit in less than 24 hours! I don't trust people easily and looked up the reviews and low and behold it's a scam so we left luckily not losing any money. They've used this tactic before (see other reviews) if anyone approaches you on the street and recommends this place, ignore them! They are working with the tuk tuk driver and the sellers at Indian loom to scam you.

Visited this store on a friend's recommendation, and I'm so glad I did! The textiles and carpets are exquisite, and the staff is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful.

Hated the approach to lure tourist. Do not take autobif someone suggests a mall or shop. Deceitful in many ways... Tourist beware. Amit was so aggressive it made shopping painful. Looked impressive but dishonest information. Would appreciate some honesty if items are handloom or machine loom. Lost much respect for people like this. Disgusted with the experience and will report to tourism board.

This store is clean, organized, and beautiful. Sagar took care of us and believe me when I tell you I have never seen a more talented person! We did not really know what we wanted, but he worked hard to figure out what the perfect gift would be. At the end, we bought, we laughed, and overall had an amazing experience looking at the sheer amount of craftsmanship displayed here. As a man of my word, I now wrote this review as a thank you note for the people in this store, very recomended!

This shop has everything! Guru was so helpful. Prices were very good and good quality cotton sheet sets and hand painted items. Highly recommend.

Manzoor helped us find some beautiful carpets. My mother is going to be ecstatic and I have one for myself. The service was outstanding and the shop is beautiful and clean. Thank you very much for everything! Be careful with shipping them, though. I had them sent to Canada and paid some steep import charges on them. Could've bought another carpet for that much money.
