Indian Loom

I was taken here by my local guide because I wanted to buy some Indian clothes. The lady was very nice and patient. Of course, she was trying to sell as much as possible and it was not cheap but I got an okay price and a good shopping experience. Just don' t be naive and overpay on anything you don't want. They were totally fine with my determined NO on things I did not want --- Follow up: After wearing their clothes (6 pieces) for two weeks straight, 2 pants broke down (tore), 1 pant & 1 shirt is still okay, 2 top pieces I becamen attached to. Not a scam, but be very careful what you buy or buy somewhere else

Really bad service, please stay away. I made a custom suite, as I got the recommendation from another shop. The quality was ok, but the suit was too tight. When I asked for adjustments, I only got one round of adjustments, after that they said it’s already too late to make another adjustment and did not offer any discount then for not fitting it perfectly. If I do a custom made suite and pay for that service, I would expect it then fits perfectly!

I am very pleased with my rug, and I am most definitely buyng more for my home office. It’s a tourist attraction to visit must.

Very interesting to read the reviews here. I bought several items at this shop in January 2025 and am happy with them. My rug was shipped to Australia very promptly. They are not scammers, but simply highly skilled salespeople - knowledgeable, charming and hospitable. I'd advise you to go, enjoy, buy what you like and otherwise be entertained and amazed by the art and craft on display. Nobody will think less of you for not buying, but if you do, you are helping to promote Indian arts and crafts. I don't mind tuk tuk drivers bringing us here - people in India look after each other and commissions are part of the culture. You may get stuff more cheaply elsewhere, but this is a good one-stop shop. So, enjoy. My suggestion to the owners would be to affix labels to the products, because it's hard to remember the fibre types and percentages.
