This is NOT the Dilli Haat-the famous handicraft market in Delhi. That is a drive away in south Delhi. This is an overpriced luxury store, they pay your driver to bring you here. That said, I honestly did have fun shopping here, and got a fair price for a ring and a quilted tapestry.

This place is a scam and tourist trap. Favourable reviews on here are clearly fake, or mixed up with a similarly named place as photos bear no resemblance to it at all. Beware that people are paid to take you here for you to be ripped off. Tour guides, tuk tuk drivers and scam artists who approach you on the street and recommend you go here (perhaps telling you that what you actually want to do is shut or that there is a farmer protest on,as happened to us who stupidly fell for it, and recommending this place as an alternative) all work hand in glove for commission on anything tourists buy at a hugely inflated price. One guide on our trip was honest and confirmed this practice. You can’t browse at leisure, you’ll be followed around each floor by a pushy salesperson feeding you lies about the quality of every product and how it’s all “one of a kind” etc despite identical products being available all over the place. Please google tourist scams in Delhi if you’re being sent here by a driver or random person on the street presenting themselves as well meaning and helpful to see for yourself, and sadly don’t even trust your tour guide if they take you here - no matter how genuine you think they are. It’s sadly all part of a totally corrupt tourism industry that exists here.

There are a number of 'Delhi Haat's in Delhi. If a local tries to bring you to one then this one is the scam. Located just north west of this marker. The market Delhi Haat is lovely and the fabric store is an innocent victim of the scam one. However let a local take you to one and you'll find overpriced poor quality suits, fake rugs, knock off jewelers and VERY pushy staff. They seem to have a deal with locals that they'll give them a cut if they bring tourists there. Please avoid and I'd advise shop elsewhere. For suits I'd advise Raymonds; got a couple made there and one made at Delhi Haat and it's a far inferior fit/quality/stitching and they tried to charge me almost double what Raymonds offered. Scam delhi haat I'd give negative stars however it conveniently doesn't have a location on Google maps so giving more for the innocent fabric shop this marks

BEWARE - Was told to come here by someone who I thought was a well meaning helper on the street, which I now know was part of a scam. A guy approached us on our way to the India Gate and pretended he worked in our hotel. We were on our way to the India Gate and he told us there was a protest on and it wasn’t safe. He suggested an alternative itinerary (including this location, which he told us was a market), spoke to a nearby tuk tuk driver for us and asked him to drive us around his suggested places. We were told it would be rate of 400 INR for the tuk tuk driver to take us around and wait at each location. At the end of the trip he backtracked and told us he meant 400 for each individual location, despite each one being within 5 mins of each other and it taking less than an hour in total. Secondly, this place isn’t a “market” as were told, it’s a tourist trap shop where you’re followed around by aggressive salespeople. We were shown some scarves - the first price they quoted was 12,900 INR which is a complete rip off. We were then asked what is the best price we could offer and we suggested 3,000 INR, they agreed. Which is still probably over priced. This place is part of a network between scammers and tuk tuk drivers who all take a cut of anything you buy (we were told these places are common by one of our tour guides). Please be aware they will rip you off and unless you are prepared to haggle like crazy don’t come here.

Almost fell for this tourist trap, but saw rhe comments and escaped. Was approached by a man in the street who said he worked in our hotel, he told us there are protesters and Khan Market (our original destination) is closed due to protests and we stupidly believed him. Went there saw the insane high prices, and thought they were normal. However I saw on a review here another review that mentions the exact same modus operandi (The guy works in our hotel, the protests, all down to calling a tuk tuk for us) so we left without buying anything and found a seller close to him same products with half his prices, and then we went to Khan Market which was (low and behold) open! And no protests anywhere to be seen.

Scam place. Nice people to your face but total tourist trap. Take advantage of westerners to over charge them and rinse you of your money. Better priced products at the airport. Some nice things to buy but don't go without being prepared to haggle and check Internet for prices while in the shop, especially in the jewellery, it's fake costume jewellery made up to be like genuine silver with real stones, outright lied to by the store owner, now trying to get a refund.

SCAM BEWARE! We were leaving from our hotel to go to the metro when a man approached us in the street, asked us where we were going, and told us that those Places (INA market and Sarojini) were closed until 5 PM because of the heat and that the metro was unsafe. He hailed a tuk tuk for us, and arranged for a cheap price (20 rupees), and sent us to this market. He seemed extremely friendly and kind, and was a random street person, so we assumed it was kind. When we arrived at the store, we were pressured into looking at +++ $$$ carpets and art that seemed to be 10X the price we had seen at previous places in India. Everytime we tried to leave, they pressured us intensely to look at a different section of the store. They claimed that it was a government sanctioned market, but there was no proof of this. We eventually managed to leave without buying anything but felt super uncomfy with the interaction. At the end of the day, we went to INA market and it turns out that it and Sarojini market were open the whole day. Came here to read about other people's experiences and have been fascinated by the extent of this scam that seems to involve random pedestrians, tuk tuk drivers, and the entire area near CP (Connaught Plaza). Would recommend not listening to anyone in this area, and to be hyper aware of another place called Indian loom, because the same thing happened to us another day there too. Apparently they also watch what hotel you leave from and use this information against you.

They have nice things but some things are super pricey and the customer service annoyed me. They will not leave you alone to just look around. Kept shoving things in our face and asking us to buy this and that. We might have bought if they didn’t do that. Let your customers browse instead of sitting on their heads and trying to convince them to make purchases they don’t want to.
