Ginger Indore

Had a happy one month stay at ginger.. The service was so good. The staff at reception as well as restaurant are very friendly. Clean rooms with 0 disturbances. Housekeeping people are very responsible and they provides excellent service. Rooms are cleaned daily, linens and towels are changed in every two days. Special mention to Mr.Dharmendra who was there for any help. One bad experience was the use of lift. Literally the lift is a total waste of time. It's always under maintenance. And the wifi is also useless. Even though they are providing it, without super plan (with extra tariff) we cannot use internet in even a moderate speed. I stayed at Ginger for 1 night, the starting was sour, as I booked through agoda, but when I reached hotel at 5pm, they had cancelled the booking, as they thought I won't be arriving and they had a full booking. However, the manager came and alloted room in same price as by agoda and added breakfast to the package. Now,The the most talked about topic: Room. Yes rooms are smaller, considering the price you pay, but if you are a medium built couple, it will not be an issue. I counted and the room was 14 steps long, with a queen bed placed, enough space to walk around and keep 1 large suitcase. The bathroom is small, but again not terribly small. The space was enough for us and the whole premises was very very clean. Service of the staff is very good. MR. Mithun in restaurant service was very friendly and prompt. The food was made fresh and was not overly spicy, i had basa fish curry while my husband had non veg thali, both very good and not too oily or spicy Breakfast had a decent spead and they made dosa fresh to order which was tasty. Sambhar was really delicious. Tea was good and overall a very good breakfast. The checkout was smooth and the staff was prompt. It is located right above shoppers stop so we shopped a little in independence sale. I had a very comfortable stay! Room service is very quick and the hotel staff are very accommodative and helpful. The rooms are very compact however comfortable and neat. Food is good, i missed to have the morning buffet due to my conflicting schedules. The location of the hotel is prime you have lot of shopping options and the tourist places are nearby. The famous Sarafa bazaar is also nearby. Wifi is strong and they have various packages as well. The only drawback was the AC, were really old appliances, which rumbled away; I had to switch off the AC and attend my business calls.

Good value for money. Room is very small, but ok for single. Restaurant is very limited with just 3 to 4 items. No options at all. Breakfast is just nothing with 1 item. Perhaps going out for food is good option. Room air conditioning is worst. It just makes noise that it is there for you. Summer may be problematic at nights. Reception is not friendly and no smiley. No one ask you about your experience.
