Infantry Museum

The idea of a world class ‘Infantry Research Centre and Museum’ was mooted by the then COAS, Gen NC Vij in 2003 and whole heartedly endorsed by the 27th ICC in 2003. It was inaugurated 16 years later on 27 Nov 2019 during the 35th ICC by the then COAS, Gen Bipin Rawat, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, YSM, SM, VSM, ADC. This Infantry Research Centre & Museum showcases the evolution of the modern Indian Infantry from 1747 onwards and is also the repository of all data about the Indian Infantry especially post 15 August 1947.

Infantry Research Center & Museum, Dr Ambedkar Nagar (Mhow) is a world-class center showcasing the history and valour of the Indian Army over a period of over 500 years, right from the 16th Century AD in the Indian subcontinent. Extensive attention to detail has been paid in creating this state-of-the-art museum. A must visit, if you're in or around Dr Ambedkar Nagar (Mhow). The entrance for civilians is from the backside of the main building. A nominal ticket fee is charged at the entry. As a bonus, it has massive lawns and gardens filled with flowers. It also has a merchandise store, from where you can purchase collectibles like key-chains, tshirts etc.

I went good Friday day but museum closed on that day. Really very disappointed because I am coming from Bangalore. Holidays only out side state peoples r come on that day it's closed means all r disappointed. please open for all public holidays.

An amazing initiative by the Armed forces to help us learn the true history of our nations' infantry, its transition through the ages, its hardships and the one the message of valor and dedication to protect. I was so fascinated by all of the exhibits that I didn't even reach to my mobile once, just to even click a picture. A must visit place. आज हम म्यूजियम देखने इंदौर से 1:20 महू पहुंचे दुख के साथ कहना पड़ रहा है टिकट खिडकी पर मालूम पड़ा की 1.30 से 4:30 तक बंद रहेगा हम वापस आए। बेहतर है कि आप गूगल पर डाले की टाइम चेंज हो गया है, गूगल पर लिखा था 11:00 से 5:30 तक के म्यूजियम खुला है और म्यूजियम में 3 घंटे का लंच ब्रेक कहां होता है

A really great place to visit during weekend..really great place to know about the history of infantry and the various wars the great indian continent has gone against and thrived.Some sections are beautifully dedicated to Param Vir Chakra Awardee which will make u tear up a bit.Also u can observe various real life models of guns n artillery in the mesuem.The museum is still incomplete but u can still visit and purchase some good merchandise.Also u can check out the Dr.B.R.Ambedkar stupa nearby.
