Hotel Kanchan Tilak

I travelled with my wife and parents and accordingly booked two rooms through Agoda. I did confirm the booking with The hotel ahead of time. Pros: - The check-in process was smooth and quick. - Parking at this location was a plus. - Staff was welcoming. - We were provided with fresh set of towels, and the bathroom had fixed dispensers for soaps. - Location: proximity to Chhappan Dukan. The view from the 4th floor window was nice. Other than the location, there was nothing good about the hotel. Cons: - The rooms were worn out, - wooden floors were chipped off, - walls were damped, - AC was leaking, - bathroom plumbing was bad, flush not working properly, and - room smell was like alcohol when you enter, which would fade off once the air conditioning kicks in. Overall, not a good experience. The hotel is undergoing major renovation in most of the rooms. Hopefully after the renovation it will be great again. The hotel was under renovation. We were staying here in March 2026. The staff was not very helpful and the rooms were smelling. Shady hotel. Would not recommend. Horrible experience at hotel Kanchan Tilak.. Both the reception staff in the morning and evening were super rude and angry people...how Management makes them.sit at reception to check in is shocking. The room was newly renovated ..no issue. But the 3rd floor of hotel is underconstruction and they were working from 10am to midnight. They were cutting marble tiles at 1am...Shocking and when reception was informed staff cut the phone... Housekeeping and room service was decent. Worst hotel i have stayed so far..everything is kept in rooms - just for sake of it. Electric kettle but no tea bags etc..broken furniture and fixtures. Stinking rooms, the bell boy switched on the fans the moment we entered this Suite Room, soon I figured out it's trick to deal with foul smell. Best part they'll make you checkout at 10am. I stayed here for one night during my Ujjain- Indore trip. 1. Staff was pathetic 2. Staff was unprofessional 3. Service was worst 4. Service department didn’t respond even after 30min of our request call 5. One of my worst experience to stay in hotel 6. Only good part was their rooms there were clean but again you can find broken buckets in their washroom which they don’t even change on request. 7. Also they will charge you for anything you request to service department without telling you that this thing is chargeable. 8. I booked 2 rooms for my family on arrival i was given keys for one room and for second room they made us wait for 45 minutes though check in time was 12PM and we checked in at around 6pm in evening . Very good hotel and got a good deal. The staff was helpful and polite. They allowed us to use the room prior to check in . Breakfast is also good in taste. Location is next to Chhappan and Rickshaw easily available. Recommended to others. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5

Very very bad service we had booked 6 rooms from the 1 day till the 4th day we were fighting with the manager and all to give us the room they still didn't gave us and said to checkout if we're not happy we have to say atleast 3 4 time for a water bottle ac doesn't work properly the hotel is under construction they accepted the bookings then said we'll give you Tommorow we'll give you today at night and all that drama and didn't gave us the rooms this is the worst service of any hotel I have stayed in i would not recommend anyone to stay in this hotel if they're even giving you free stay Trip type Business Travel group Friends Rooms: 1 Service: 1 Location: 1
