Townhouse by OYO Divya Palace

A very good and a decent hotel to stay. Located in a prime location. Accessibility to the near by sarafa and chappan bazaar is very easy. You get rikshaws, cabs very easily. We had stayed here in dec, for 3 days. Our stay was awesome. Mostly the whole day we used to roam about exploring the city of foodies, and just to sleep we had this hotel. But otherwise also it is good, clean, good breakfast, staff is helpful. I had booked this hotel from goibibo and when called the hotel to check if I can get early check in, the hotelier said, there's no booking by my name. I immediately called goibibo customer care executive and told them the issue. They took to some time to resolve but they soretd out. I had to pay 300/- extra for early check in, but that was fine. Also they have there own manufacturered water bottles (like Bisleri), for which they charge always. Overall a value for money stay.

1) First of all I do not understand what is the harm sharing Hotel's reception number with customers. I was new to the city and the auto kept riding here and there since the maps didn't show the way correctly. Had OYO provided the number it would have been much easier to reach the hotel comfortably on time. Hotel's location is near bust stop and railway station which is feasible. 2) Second the people on reception were rude and completely non cooperative. In the name of Three Star Hotel, rooms were smelly, bathroom was not so clean, lack of ventilation, no water was provided till we asked for it. Room was good and bathroom was spacious but not so clean unfortunately. Thankfully the second day when we had to leave they atleast provided the electric kettle that we asked for. 3) We had to pay extra charges for third person but there was no extra bed or mattress so not sure what the extra charges were for. 4) The rest of the staff was very helpful so we could manage things during the stay. Especially the staff at the gate not sure if he was guard or manager. OYO is literally pathetic, the representatives do not follow hold time and take ages to get back on call until the phone disconnects automatically. Worst booking experience in the past as well as this one. Please think about people and respect their time and money. I was getting better price on another site but the OYO guy kept saying if I book from there I'll face problems while check in. Ideally the whole amount has to be paid while check out but the OYO and reception managers are non empathetic and compelled to pay the whole price during check in itself. The hotel was good and it was a pleasant experience for us we had a good stay and the rooms were clean and furnished well the water was hot perfect for the weather. The staffs were excellent. Chose to stay couple of nights at Divya Palace while visiting Indore for a great rate. Hotel reception and staff were extremely welcoming which made our stay exceptional. Rooms are clean and quiet and I loved the sofa in the room. Only one cons is that I found cockroaches in the room I wish they have treated the rooms. The hotel comes under Oyo and nothing much can be expected. Average amenities (had to ask and call reception even for the basic ones) basic complementary things like breakfast wasn’t provided even booked and showed. 1. Location wise, this hotel is perfectly located in the middle of city with many important places in 3-4 km range. 2. Service of the Staff was good, although, seems they have quite nicely graduated into a tip accepting and demanding even people. 3. Rooms were clean, linen was clean as well. In-room service was good as well except single instance of order of one tea which they conveniently forgot, may be because of small order. In house restaurant food is good as well. 4. Lastly, it requires families and out of city id cards, restricting unmarried couples to ensure, no funny business is conducted by unmarried couples. Overall, i would recommend and stay again if visiting Indore. Kindly skip to last part if you have urgency to book. We had booked 2 rooms but after recahing in evening to hotel it showed only 1 room booked inspite of complete payment and exact number of adults. This is either issue from agoda side for confirmation or hotel booking issue which agoda has to look into urgently. Now let's come to the main part the room they somehow provided us after showing all the details on mail recieved from agoda yet it did not convince them and somehow they agreed that they will allocate a room. 1. The room was a disaster, the floor was wet after reaching. 2. The washroom was pathetic. 3. There was no handwash or soap kept 4. No towels were provided 5. Last but not at all the least usually hotels give you water complimentary here we had to ask them for bottle as we did not have water and it was charged. 6. Safety concerns : bathroom switched had light current ( not acceptable ) 7. Extra mattress provided was wet. PS : never book room here if you are reading this. Worst hotel experience ever. Staff behavior was extremely rude and unprofessional. No cooperation, no respect, and no sense of customer service. Management was equally bad. The service delivery experiences a minor delay, and the hotel's management requires enhancement. However, the location is advantageous, and both the guest rooms and washroom facilities are maintained in a clean and orderly condition.
