Townhouse by OYO Divya Palace

Very poor experience. I don’t even want to give this place a single star. Nowadays, hotel doesn’t only mean a place where you can dump your luggage and get a bed to sleep; it also implies providing adequate facilities keeping in mind the comfort of the guests. Tea was not provided after repeated calls. Almost every time, the staff said that ‘Doodh phat gaya’. I even requested them to inform me if tea would be made available or not as otherwise I would arrange it from outside the hotel. But I was not informed. Enough tables were not available in the dining hall during breakfast. The dining hall staff was very rude when I requested for a table in the dining hall. The room cleaning was not available. The reception said that the cleaning will only take place in my absence and that I need to submit the key at the reception. Why can’t the room cleaning take place in my presence if I am myself willing? What sort of hotel policy is this? The lift was also not working and there was no urgency to get it repaired.

The check in was not smooth & quick. The room was not clean, WiFi was not operational and even the air conditioning was not upto the mark. The staff had to reminded thrice to provide drinking water. There was an unplugged big hole on the door of washroom (Room number 316). The balcony was absolutely dirty & infested by pigeons and full of dried leaves. There was no one to assist even as we checked out. The only saving grace was quality of breakfast 🥣 which was good. Many other good options can be explored in Indore. The hotel was very nice.. Budget friendly. Food was good.. Don't expect extraordinary room but with the price the quality of room was good enough. The restaurant also serves good food. The room was on of the best in Indore(it's not too notch,but it's definitely worth the price),the staffs were very helpful from receiving us.Rates were very reasonable. Eventhough it was good and pleasant one, we had to face a some drawbacks, there were rats inside the room after resolving that issue,we found that the sink tap was not functioning. One of my worst stays, so far. I was on an official trip and made the booking over phone. As this was a hotel recommended by the organisers of the function, I called them, enquired the rates and booked my room without giving a second thought. First time, it was a hotel without any toiletries, even a small piece of soap. Since I always carry a pack, it was not an issue. The most surprising thing happened when I checked out. Their rates were now 50% high. They said, if I need a bill for my payment, I need to pay the new amount (So, they accommodate without bill also! I hope the owner is aware of it). Anyway, I was in no mood for a fight, paid what they demanded and collected the bill for the amount. If there was an option for Zero stars, I would have opted that.

Security was sleeping and reception was locked when already informed of late checkin at 4 am. But receptionist came after trying to call and waiting 10 mins. The entrance to the hotel is very claustrophobic and to the room voyer. Room is good. Bathroom door has a small damage below. Had a very bad experience. I booked 4 rooms in this property and got the confirmation. Also, a day before I checked in, I called reception with the booking details to confirm the stay. The manager too confirmed the booking. But when we reached there, they said your booking is no more reflecting on our system, it was there yesterday but it is not showing up now. It was 10PM when we reached the hotel. After further investigation it came up that we booked through Agoda and just before check-in OYO got a better price for the rooms, so they overlooked our booking as it was through Agoda. The hotel can be much better but the authority is not very helpful. We stayed for 10 days and we had this RAT troubling us through out and the hotel staff could not do anything about it. I normally don t write reviews but it's important for people who go with their families to stay. The food was good and it's located in better place .MR Bhatia was really kind to help us with transport.. But the staff at reception need some train ing on guest management.
