India Gate is a breath of fresh air in an otherwise draining environment. The chaotic noise, trash everywhere, and constant harassment for money removes any sort of happiness or good feelings amongst the tourists. Except for the elite few that have their Oasis to live in, New Delhi offers only disappointment. It's sad to see so many people poor and desperate, while an elite few have so much. India Gate is located near the President's residence and offices. Therefore, it's a beautiful area. There's a lawn that extends the 3 km from India Gate to the President's residence and offices. It is a most to visit or to see the India Gate and on the background the Central Secretariat. Unfortunately we visit on a sunday and the police closed all the parking places. The place was super crowd. Not even a space to take photos. It was flooded with people in the night. I went around 9pm+. The polices didn't allow us to stay for long. They chased us away and scolded all the people. Nobody is speaking in English. So we don't understand why they chased us. But it's a stunning view in the night.
