it is in New Delhi near Lal Quila and Jama Masjid Metro Station opposite to Red Fort. near but Rickshaw required to Kashmiri Gate ISBT. By self car near to Big Multi Level Parking. Muslim Community area, cheapest for blazers winter and summer both, not suits.
Not much good not much bad. In kabutar market every where smell of pigeon very suffocation breathe but reasonable price market and you expect different varieties.
Birds and animals are kept in horrible conditions. Crammed togather in small uncomfortable wire cages. These shops are also involved in illegal wildlife trade.
SO CROWDED PLACE AND YES, AS THE NAME SUGGESTS IT'S A KABUTAR MARKET & MANY OTHER PET BIRDS... LIKE PARROT, SPARROW CHOOSE YOUR BIRD. THAT'S A BIT DIRTY. FOR PET LOVERS IT'S A VERY GOOD & CHEAP, & ONE OF THE BEST MARKET
Shopping complex for all the Lunda (2nd hand) clothes, there are lots of good options as well. Some pigeon shops are also there (where this market got its name) other names of Market are: Coat Market, Dargah Shiekh Kalimullah.
It's better place for the purchase of clothes, shoes, jerkins, sweaters etc., the fast food centre in the chawni chowk main road offering lassi in pot is good. The fried rice, masala dosa with sambhar and chutney are not in south indian style.... one can try the lassi which is delicious with added rose milk flavour...
