Fantastic place for Bengali food and shopping experience. It is a great 'adda' and catalyst for terrific friendships to come together. It is bursting at its seams with the sheer footfalls and popularity of the place. The wet market or the fish market is one of the best in terms of the quality of fish. The only thing that could have been better is the cleanliness of the place.

This place gives a nostalgic feel for people originaring / coming from eastern side and residing in Delhi. We say, "Durga Puja"! ..instead of calling "Navratri" and one can feel at home away from home!!

Heaven for Bengalis in terms of food and day-to-day items in a city like Delhi. Some authentic Bengali foods and sweets are only available here. But unfortunately, some food got an nort-Indian touch like serving aloor chop with green chatni. And the price is on a higher end, so that's a little sad for middle class people living/ visiting here.

Meant as a local pick-up point bengali origin stuff mostly but it's surprisingly costly and just a poorly kept municipal market. I definitely enjoyed shopping from an array of fresh and foreign (!) vegetables, mishti doi, puja related paraphernalia. Parking is relatively easy to find and people are friendly. If you are a 100% vegetarian, better avoid the place altogether.

You get the choicest Bengali cuisine including snacks and sweets at reasonable prices. I specifically recommend the Devil's Chop and Mutton cutlets for the Non Vegetarians and Mocha chop and Veg Chop for the Vegetarians. Fresh delectable sweets from Aristocrat Sweet Shop for take aways. Those who'd like to cook their own meal there is always the fish 🐟 market and chicken 🐔 and Mutton butcher shop.
