You will get a wide range of fish to select from from the fish market too... Best time to buy fish is Morning or evening. You can also find some of the typical Bong veggies... Like Gondholebu, kumror dugga/kochee neem pata/kumror phool/kocchu saak/thur... masala and other foods stuff typical amongest Bongs. There are few shops which cater to basic things needed in religious rituals like shonkho/shaaka pola/pujo stuff. Must try rolls and chops in the evening...no place to sit though.

A family friendly place,feeling of safety. Good food options in evening. Daddu cutlet in market no 2 is fabulous. Both veg and non veg can have a great time. Only problem is afternoon meal nothing ia availaible till after 12.30. And u get good bengali, chinese ,mugolai dishes. Very good bengali sweet in market no 1.

East India (Bengali) products are available here but with a high cost which you can gladly agree to pay due to unexpected availability. Fish market is good but selling at a high rate. You can bargain a bit. Variety available. You can try Govindpuri fish market for almost same quality at a cheaper rate.
