Heaven for food lovers, especially Bengali food. A large number of convenience stores are in the vicinity, with a government ration shop in the market. Nice place for a hangout.

I would highly recommend this place to those who are looking to buy good, fresh fish. No where else I have found better quality and freshness, in spite of numerous recommendations by other folks to other places. Also, during festive seasons, this place light up and fills up with crowd willing to taste numerous local chaats and appetizers.

A NRB (Non Resident Bengali) heaven is what I call CR Park. Bengalis are by nature garrulous and tend to reach out to people of the same culture when they are away from home. While staying in Delhi for the last 16 years what can make you feel at home than speaking your mother tongue with anyone and everyone around you? Market 1 at CR Park is famous for a lot of things like street food (phuchka, egg and chicken rolls, fish finger, cutlets, chops, chur mur, misti, etc.), fish market where you get the Bengali's favourite rohu, hilsha, kucho chingri (prawns), golda chingri (lobsters) and the occasional crabs. This, as I said, is a Bengali heaven as you get a lot of pickles that remind you of your homeland. Just say "Dada, kemon acho?" to any shopkeeper and his face would just light up instantly.

Well organised market. Fast food joints like Paratha rolls, panipuri available. Bengali sweet shops. Good fish market. Bengali sari, puja material available. BeautifulTemple of godess Kali. We love visiting the market.

Retail shopkeeper in this market are charging a lot against even a basic goods and they are highly overpriced also market is very dirty and unhygienic.

Taste of kolkata in delhi must visit

Lively place for Bengali foods and other liking shops. But very cramp and difficult to park cars. Also modification works in the surrounding areas making even walking also very difficult.

The market is slowly becoming my favourite place to eat non-veg. Kolkata biryani, chilli fish, fish roll, and puchka stall at the corner are just amazing!!

Bong food, fish market, vegetables etc.. friends from Kolkata who feel homesick must go to feel at home.. everyone else just go there to have amazing egg roll, chops, puchka...
