Indian Loom

People on the street recommended this place. They say its a Mall but not the ones we are used to back home. I got myself a traditional Indian dress and my girlfriend got a saree stitched. It was wonderful and everything fitted nicely. Should have a eating corner too as one tends to spend lot of time and would want to relax and enjoy a meal too.

It was a place filled with many shops of many delights, ranging from clothing to jewelry to tea, it truly has something for everyone. However do note that there are many scam artists trying to sell you fake designer brands inside as well as legitimate businessmen selling their crafts. It can be tricky to distinguish the real and the fakes and I would not recommend anyone new to India to visit this place, however those who have stayed in India for awhile can go and see the many wonders it has inside. Be careful and bargain for whatever you buy.

I must say we regret massively setting foot in this shop and spending so much money there, only to realise later at the airport that the souvenirs we bought there was more than 80% cheaper in the AIRPORT! Honestly all the sale assistants try to rip you off massively and it feels like a prison in there, no windows, difficult to find the exit and sales assistants who just hound you non stop. Best to avoid if you don't want to be ripped off or just keep in mind you need to haggle really hard to get a fair price. In general be careful with the prices you get in Delhi it feels like everyone was there just to rip of tourist.

Straight scam center. There’s a coordinated network of con men pretending to be helpful locals who tell you about this great place for local crafts. They’ll pretend to hail a random driver who is actually their buddy for a reasonable price. This driver will be nice and offer to wait for you outside and take you back at no extra charge. Once you’re inside of they’ll try to sell you a bunch of overpriced goods. If you say no to one product, they shoe you over to another area with another salesman. Very pushy and insistent. My driver was clearly unhappy when I walked out empty handed and some guy from the store came out to chat with him.

We have been served by Mr. Sanjeev Gupta from Indian Loom. His has good customer service skills and were able to accommodate our requirements and share opinion or recommendations. The price are very affordable.

Irshad and team was really friendly and took the time to explain craftsmanship of rugs and meaning of designs.

Well worth the visit! I had no plans to buy a rug, but after seeing the collection in person, I couldn’t resist. Now, my living room in Germany looks amazing!

A very upmarket store, in an old haveli, looks like a house more than a store. It's mostly for foreigners & the Indians too get treated like foreign dignitaries. The choices are unlimited and the clothing and accessories are amazing. There is home stuff and jewellery, indian spices, soaps and lot more. Prices are upmarket and the staff is used to seeing lots of foreigners. Whether you buy or not the store is worth a visit. The display almost never ends, the place is like a labyrinth of counters and display and you enjoy the place. Great place to be in.
