Earlier one can visit for different books. But now thing's are changed. Less book shops and low quality. Daryaganj, New Delhi
It's all just a scam really. The rates u get like rs100/kg equals the same that u have to pay somewhere else because 2 rs50 registers or books or weigh up to 1kg. A market such as tilak nagar's is more preferable and in some ways even cheaper
Really good market with decent rates
Very crowded. On the opposite side of book market there is a shoe market. All the branded shoes in the low price. Depends how good you are at bargain. I'm rating it 4 star coz at times it gets too busy.
Book market is shifted from daryaganj to mahila haat. This place is better than the previous one. It has got lot of space. All popular books, children books , class study books and medical books avialable here. Near 100 shops in open space is here. Requies around 2 hrs here if u are a book lover.
Excellent place to buy books and notebooks at a wholesale price ( much cheaper than normal shops). A bit of a drive for most folks and parking is an issue. The shop is crowded most of the time.
All duplicate books,sadly neither the publishers nor any authority care to bother.
You do find majority of books here, be it academic or novels, but the conditions in which they are kept and look like are pathetic to say the least. Shopkeepers walk over the books on their dirty feets and people happily purchase those books like idiots! Such shameful thing to witness. Would never like to purchase a book from here
I got all the favourite books of the series... I love it, I'm gonna visit again. PLUS, old novels are sold by wt. at 100rs per kg.. Also, registers and notebooks too
Like all others bookshops in daryaganj,the shopkeepers are clueless and you'll have to find books on your own from the big pole. Cheapest ones I found were for rs.70per kg They have rare books too.I bought don Quixote, Norwegian woods,a shashi tharoor books among the usual ones you can find in every store here
