BIG BOOK BAZAR - DARYAGANJ

Don't go the previous sunday of independence day. It will be closed. I went there and nearly all shops were closed. It's a great market if you know what you need in stationary. It's a sea of books and choosing what you want to own is time consuming. Have a lot of time in hand before entering the market.

I am in love with the place! There is a large collection of books. You name it, you got it! And at such pocket friendly price too. The books are in very good conditions. The place is a reader's delight.

This was my first time in Daryaganj and wow! What an amazing place to be at. The books are sold at the rate of 'Kgs'. I visited other shops as well so count this review as a collective one for Daryaganj market. Timing - Shops open roughly by 10:45 am (reach by 11-11:30 am to be on the safe side.) Days - Unlike most blogs mention, it is not just on Sundays. Location - By metro, Delhi Gate is the nearest We walked from the metro station to the market at around 10 but it wasn't open yet so we strolled around and had an early breakfast of bedmi puri and chhole nearby. This place is absolutely recommended for book lovers and students who want to buy notebooks at lower costs. The one issue here is sometimes you can spend a lot of time searching for a book but find another one. But that's a happy coincidence too. So do visit if you're thinking about it :)

If you're looking for notebooks at dirt cheap prices for your kids then this is the best place, usually they sell it on Kilogram basis (100 Rs pr KG)

Great place to get all your stationary need. They have a very good collection of children's books as well. And of course all types of novels at a discounted rate.

Good shop

Lot of books. Must go for any kind of book requirement. Medical, engineering, management, fiction, non-fiction and many more. Even books for kids are available in lot of shops. Although the shop is on footpath mainly but you will get what you want. More than 250 shops to choose from. Caution : these options are available only on Sunday.

This place is a gold mine for the bibliophiles. You can get a best selling novel for 100-200Rs. a kg depending on the book you choose that too in a brand new condition from publishing houses of UK and London. They also have classic novels section ranging between Rs. 100-150 per novel. I got Speig Larsson's 'Girl with the dragon tattoo' and John Grisham's 'The innocent man' both for merely 80bucks from here.. The only problem is they don't have much of non-fiction books.

Small book store with lots of books you will find all kind of books but you might not get the popular and good nove(whose demand is more) the store is not much costlier you can buy some stationery stuffs like pen,pencil etc at wholesale rate .

Good if you want to buy everything like stationary, kids learning items at one place. But do not expect much discount as they are selling most of the items on MRP.
