I started my Yoga journey under the able guidance of Smita Ma’am at Delhi in the year 2009 . It continued till 2011 when my husband got posted out of Delhi. I couldn’t continue with yoga practice after that due to many factors but primarily because I couldn’t find a good teacher like her. We further moved to the USA in 2018 and by then, over a period of time, I developed lots of health problems like blood pressure, knee pain, joint pains etc besides I had very little physical stamina being overweight . Moreover I could hardly walk long distances and climbing stairs was a herculean task for me. During COVID when our movements got further restricted and everything looked so gloomy and depressing , I came to know about Smita Ma’am’s online zoom classes through my friend PUMMY SEKHON. This was a God sent opportunity and turning point in my life for my health. I immediately joined her zoom classes in June 2020. After 5-6 months of regular yoga under Smita Ma’am, I left medication for blood pressure, lost extra weight(like 15 kgs), felt energetic and could walk briskly for at least 5 kms without any knee pain. Now I could even climb stairs effortlessly. My doctor was surprised to find my blood pressure normalized without medication and overall improvement in my health condition . This was a news for him. Needless to mention that I became active and am continuing with my online classes since then which has benefited me immensely. Smita Ma’am who is highly qualified takes great care in monitoring the finer points of Yoga poses though sitting so far. She ensures that her students gain maximum benefits out of her classes for which she keeps on motivating and guiding her students . Now Yoga under her able direction and personal supervision has become an addiction for me and I make sure that I don’t miss her classes except in UNAVOIDABLE circumstances . I must say that in today’s busy life, on line Yoga classes are so convenient if one finds a knowledgeable and dedicated yoga teacher like Smita Ma’am and I consider myself lucky that way.🥰🌺🌺🌺🌺

This class was my morning highlight. Starting with breath work & sun salutations I was suddenly standing in my first ever headstand. It just felt good. Magical. Thanks for this beautiful experience. This was my favorite moment during my week in Delhi. Highly recommended if you already practiced yoga a bit.
