Adventure holiday tours, India

My partner and I took a day tour from Delhi to Agra (Taj Mahal + Agra Fort) with Adventure Holiday Tours. The driver, Gian, was already waiting at our hostel when we stepped out a few minutes early for a 2 a.m. pick-up (we wanted to see sunrise at the Taj Mahal). He was respectful of how tired we were and drove quietly, safely and quickly, stopping for a washroom break along the way and getting us in Agra in time to be among the first in line. He was great company and conversation on the drive back when we were more awake, and while he suggested a stop or two for shopping, did not pressure us when we declined. He also kept cool as a cucumber in rush-hour Delhi traffic, which makes him a hero in my books. Tarun, the operator, responded very promptly to emails and communicated in a clear, straightforward way. There was a mix-up involving tour guides but Tarun was very quick in addressing the issue when we brought it to his attention. Overall a great experience, and would definitely use this company's tour services again!

We have contacted Adventure Holiday Tours when looking for a car and a driver to take us and our 3 bicycles from Delhi airport to Kalpa and then from Manali to Dheli (we were planning to cycle through Kinnaur and Spiti Valley) Tarun provided us with an excellent service and was very helpful, patiently responding to all our questions, collecting parcels and storing some of our stuff while we were cycling. Our driver Mr Sanjay was also great and we felt very safe despite the crazy Indian traffic. I would definitely recommend using Adventure Holiday Tours for a private car hire.

Murray, Sharon & Alysha have just spent 7 days in Delhi with Adventure Holiday Tours. Tarun was very fast with communication and all the arrangements with hotel and travel were excellent. We didn't have to think about anything other than enjoy our time here. We gave Tarun our budget and time frame and he made suggestions on what we can do. We accepted his suggestion and then everything was organised for us (tours, quality hotels, driver, guides). We did a tour of Delhi on the first day and then a tour of Delhi, Jaipur, Agra and back to Delhi (golden triangle). Our driver Sanjay, (and sometimes our tour guide) was friendly, professional and always has a smile. We felt safe at all times in India and in the crazy India traffic. Excellent guides were organised for us in Jaipur and Agra which just makes the trip even more special. If you want a special time in India, organised by a professional and caring company, this is the company for you. They can organise a trip to suit your time frame and budget. My family and I recently returned from a trip throughout Northern India with Tarun and Adventure Holiday Tours. If you want to experience India vice simply seeing it then Tarun is the one to contact! He arranged an amazing driver, named Prim, for the first part of the our trip. Prim was very knowledgeable about the routes and expertly operated the van throughout the crazy streets of India. We experienced Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Pushkar, and Rishikesh, in each city we were met by a great tour guide who showed us each site without pressure. I emailed Tarun about 80 times prior to our journey, sometimes with requested changes or simply questions, his responses were rapid and thorough. However, the best part about the journey was during our final three days when Tarun came with us and showed us the small village his family is from. We met his family and learned how to play Cricket with his cousins, my kids greatly enjoyed this experience and describe it as one of the best parts of the trip! India was an amazing place, full of color, great people and amazing experiences. It wouldn't have been possible without Tarun and Prim, their interaction during our experience left such a positive memory that they have both become friends.

If you plan to travel around India, I highly recommend this company! We had an amazing time with Sanjay travelling the Golden Triangle. He always made sure we were comfortable and described every attraction we could visit if we chose to. He gave great advice and he never took us to any shops unless we requested it as he was proud to show us the sights! Sanjay looked after us as though we were family and it was lovely to talk to him. We learnt a lot about the culture and traditions as we drove from place to place and he is a very safe driver. The restaurant recommendations were spot on and we enjoyed every meal he took us to. They were clean and affordable restaurants which served a variety of food. You can never turn down a Thali! The Amber Fort, Jantar Mantar and Pink City cooking class in Jaipur and the Taj Mahal in Agra were the highlights. Sanjay is a very caring and kind man and he is a true credit to the company. Thank you Sanjay! Tarun helped us plan the trip and he was fantastic and always replied very quickly. Our Jaipur guide Krishna was absolutely amazing and very knowledgable! We spend 10 amazing days in Rajasthan and Tarun helped a lot to make it work smothly! Due to our schedule, in the first 3 days we had 3 different drivers (in Delhi and Khajuraho) and they were all very good. For the rest of the journey we had one of company's best driver Prem. We were very happy with him! All drivers were professional, helpful, flexible, ponctual, safe drivers and polite. Tips should represent 10%+ of the cost if you are happy with your driver. Cars were in good state and clean. Tarun organized an independent guide in every city which we were globally very satisfied with (especially with guides in Khajuraho, Ali in Agra and Uma in Udaipur). They usually take you in the shops for tourists, but it seems like a part of the business which you can hardly avoid. That was not a harm for us. Tarun is quick in responding emails and what'sApps. He speaks very good English and is clear in his messages (inlike a half dozen driving companies i consulted). I would definitely recommand his company!

Highly Recommended! The service is impeccable! Hiring a private car and driver from Adventure Holiday Tours (AHT) was the best decision we made for traveling to India! We had a great Golden Triangle adventure from 2nd to 7th February 2019. We booked the tour car service a month earlier based on the reviews and everything went smoothly as planned. Tarun, co-owner of AHT was very responsive & helpful to match the tour package with our travelling plan. Our driver, Gian Chand was very attentive and helpful. He make sure the car is clean all the time, and one thing we appreciate most was his punctuality. With Gian's services, we managed to experience Delhi, Jaipur and Agra to the most. His professionalism, kind and extremely helpful in making our 6 days stay in India the most delightful experience. We were supplied with free guides in the cities we visited and taken to places we never would have been able to find on our own. Gian listened to our requests and set up our trip to include the activities we wanted, like a rickshaw ride in Old Delhi, last minute shopping for affordable & interesting stuff from good markets, etc. Thank you to Gian and Tarun for the most amazing trip of my life.

Wonderful Adventure in India You can count on Tarun to make your trip into whatever you want it to be. He is very intuitive, thoughtful and customer oriented. He will do whatever it takes to make sure you are comfortable and having a wonderful time. We traveled from Delhi into the Himalayas, and then through Rajasthan, for 3 weeks. Our driver was Vishnu, and he was extremely professional and serious about his job. He had good recommendations and advice for us all along the way, and we felt very safe the whole time. Vishnu would stop any time there was something interesting along the road (a man plowing his field with a wooden plow lead by 2 oxen, oxen turning a cog wheel that brought water up from a well, or even just a really pretty view). He kept the car very clean and was always very punctual when meeting us somewhere. He made sure everything went smoothly - not always easy in India! I highly recommend Adventure Holiday Tours, Tarun and Vishnu if you want to have an amazing adventure!

Travelled with Adventure Holiday Tours a few years back. We had already booked our hotels so we just needed travel for the Golden Triangle. Tarun arranged a car and driver at a competitive price, he also added a tour guide for Agra and Jaipur. Our driver Prem was great. He was a quiet man, so we had a peaceful trip but he was also informative, stopping along the way to show us things. He also didn't mind that we had quite set plans of what we wanted to see an do. We had a rough idea of what we wanted to see in Delhi, and Tarun took us around Delhi himself. We added an airport transfer on arrival. They can organise a whole package for you, or just the parts you need. Very flexible, and everything ran to plan. Recommended if you don't want to do the triangle along with a bus load of people!
