Updated on 22/06/2026 Dear Dr. Pokharana, I request a clear and specific explanation on the following points which I raised more then a month ago using my wife Payal Porwal ID: 1) Why was the pre-existing UTI infection not adequately treated or stabilized before proceeding with surgery, despite documented evidence of infection in pre- and post-surgery reports (attached)? 2) What were the exact clinical reasons that led to the Code Blue situation requiring CPR, 10 days after critical bypass surgery, while the patient was under continuous monitoring and treatment under you and your team? Simply stating that “best possible care was given” is not sufficient in the presence of these serious complications. These concerns require transparent, medically detailed clarification. This are serious clinical concerns and require transparent clarifications. ********** मैं यह रिव्यू अपने 70 साल के पिता को खोने के बाद लिख रहा हूँ। उनका बायपास ऑपरेशन (EF 27%) डॉ. प्रदीप पोखराना द्वारा किया गया था। ऑपरेशन से पहले कई गंभीर समस्याएँ थीं। मेरे पिता को गंभीर UTI इन्फेक्शन था और उनकी हालत पहले से ही कमजोर थी, लेकिन इसे ठीक से ध्यान में नहीं लिया गया। ऑपरेशन इमरजेंसी में किया गया, जबकि ऑपरेशन से पहले उनकी स्थिति स्थिर थी। ऑपरेशन के बाद इन्फेक्शन और बढ़ गया और पूरे शरीर में सूजन आ गई। हमें लगता है कि अगर इन्फेक्शन को पहले सही तरीके से कंट्रोल किया जाता, तो यह स्थिति टाली जा सकती थी। हमें रिस्क सिर्फ 5% बताया गया था, जो अब गलत लगता है। उनकी हालत अचानक बिगड़ने से पहले कोई सही जानकारी या चेतावनी नहीं दी गई। ऑपरेशन के बाद भी सही समय पर देखभाल और एक्शन नहीं लिया गया। बाद में ब्लू कोड हुआ, CPR दिया गया और उन्हें वेंटिलेटर पर रखना पड़ा। 20 दिनों के अस्पताल में भर्ती रहने के बाद कुल बिल 13.5 लाख रुपये आया, जबकि पैकेज 2.47 लाख रुपये बताया गया था। आशा है कि डॉ. पोखराना सकारात्मक रिव्यू की तरह नकारात्मक रिव्यू पर भी जवाब देंगे। ********** I am writing this review after losing my father at the age of 70. He had bypass surgery with low EF (27%) under Dr. Pradeep Pokharana. There were serious issues before the surgery. My father had a severe UTI infection and his health was already weak, but this was not properly addressed. The surgery was done in emergency even though he was stable before it. After the surgery, the infection became worse and his body developed swelling. We believe this could have been controlled if treated properly before surgery. The risk was told to us as only 5%, which now seems incorrect. There was no proper warning before his condition suddenly worsened. After surgery, proper care and timely action were also not taken. Later, a Blue Code was called, CPR was done, and he was put on a ventilator after fighting for 20 days my father give up in same hospital under dr pokharana. This raises serious concerns about the treatment and care. The package given to us was 2.47 lacs but actual bill was 13.5 lacs. Hope Dr Pokharana will respond on his negative reviews as well like positive one.

Before visiting Dr Pokharna I visited one reputed cardiologist probably no 1in apollo hospitals indore He manipulated the facts based on my report and suggested me bypass surgery with 0% blockages in my arteries and my doubt with his diagnosis and my previous experience with him in fathers case I consulted Dr Pokharna and he took all the burden off my chest and cleared all my doubts and helped my family to the extent even he cannot imagine so this is my heartfelt gratitude to doc Pokharna and suggest all of you reading this review do not think twice if you need to visit Cardiologist.
