It's not a family hotel anymore. Corporate events dominates more. Noice and nuisance is created by people after having alcohol, even late at night which defeats the purpose of having a place to sleep as you might not get much due to this. Rooms are okay. Water seepage damage from AC on the wall is not a good sight though. Pillow cover can be better. People are nice and accomodating which is good. Room service is hit and miss with fulfillment time. Very Disappointing Experience at Surya Hotel Restaurant – Ruined Birthday Celebration We visited Surya Hotel Restaurant to celebrate a birthday, but unfortunately, it turned into a very disappointing experience. Initially, we were asked to sit in the family section. After sitting, the staff suddenly told us that “100 people are coming,” so we cannot sit there and must move to the rooftop. Even though the rooftop was more expensive, we agreed to shift. The service was extremely slow. When the food arrived, the chicken was completely cold. Only the fish was hot because it was freshly fried and added to the chicken platter. When we informed the waiter, he first insisted that the food was hot, which it clearly was not. Later, he took it back, reheated it, and served it again. The chicken platter was not fresh at all, and even the fish quality was very poor. We made a complaint, but there was no proper resolution. No manager came to check on us. The waiter never asked how the food was, whether we needed refills, or if everything was fine. There was absolutely no hospitality. The staff had no smile, no courtesy, and no concern. The food is overpriced for the quality they serve. Our birthday celebration was completely spoiled. 0/5 rating from my side. My stay at Hotel Surya from 25th January to 29th January was extremely disappointing and far below acceptable standards. The overall hygiene of the property was poor. The rooms were unclean, and even the common dining area lacked basic cleanliness. The pillows had visible stains, which is completely unacceptable for any hotel, regardless of category. Several toilet accessories in the bathroom were broken, indicating poor maintenance and neglect. The hotel also appears to cater to alcohol parties. During my stay, certain rooms kept their doors open while loud music played throughout the night, severely disturbing the peace and making it impossible to rest properly. Most concerning were two serious incidents where someone randomly rang my doorbell late at night. The hotel staff was unable to identify who did it, which raises serious questions about guest safety and security. Overall, this was not a pleasant or safe stay. I would strongly caution others to avoid this property and look for better, more professionally managed alternatives. Had a very comfortable stay at Hotel Surya, Indore. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained. The staff was responsive, and ensured a smooth check-in and check-out experience. The hotel provided a peaceful and safe environment, making it ideal for both short and extended stays. Overall, a great experience with excellent hospitality and value for money. Clean rooms, yummy food at convenient location. It's near to Indore railway station. Last day we took parcel, all items were neatly packed preserving freshness. It's service with smile, enjoyed the breakfast as well. Chhapan Dukan as well as Sarafa Bazar is just at 1 km distance. The hospitality is beyond warm at hotel surya. We had a safe and convenient stay. All the staff members are polite and happy to help. Highly recommended to stay. Rooms are spacious but the property appears old. The bathroom fittings has come loose. The shower gel bottle found empty. The property is prominently located.
