We were visited many accessories store middle seat for our XL6 car but, couldn't find it as expected. One day I saw video of Sekhri industries and I realised this is the one we are looking for. Interesting to note that Sekhri Industries has worst 1.0 Rating and Only 2 reviews (before posting mine) While Sekhri Car Decor (Sekhri Car Bumper Guards Naraina, Car Accessories, Car Seats, Roll Bars, Luggage Carriers) has 4.7 Rating with 124 ratings. No idea what is the reason. Firstly the Punjab Style Roof Carrier was Very expensive!!! In other shops it was available for just 2500, No doubt their bracket design is different but to demand 4200 for just Iron frame did not feel fair despite many request he refused to reduce the price by even a rupee). They claim High quality but in just 8-9 days after installation lost paint in some places and even rusted!!! (It was obvious that there was no proper metal primer applied on it thus causing it to oxidise so fast) The worst is the staff fitted the roof carrier by force in a crooked manner despite my repeated questioning and voicing my dissatisfaction, because the bracket and its clamps are not designed properly to accommodate all car roofs despite them claiming to be compatible for my car. But after just few days i could see the edge of the frame dig into the plastic beading on the top which they claimed would happen by using other carriers of competitors. So exactly 9days later when i could not take it anymore i returned to the shop to get it fixed or replaced. But the shocking unexpected experience was when i showed the Owner the same and explained the design flaw and why it was not compatible or correct for my car without corrections or modifications, he was in complete denial!! (I have been a DIY and Innovator since my Childhood and I know what i was saying). He said some jugaad of putting some strip to fill the gap, which is not the right thing to do after paying for such an expensive carrier!!! Anyway he sent an experienced staff person to fix it. Finally I had to explain to him what was going wrong since his attempts were not working out. I then gave him the idea to put extra washers for the clamp on one side and bingo it fit perfectly flat on the roof beading proving that either a design flaw OR it fixes perfectly flat on some other car and would then mean he intentionally sold and installed the carrier made for some other Model of Car on my car!!!. anyway I wanted to also get seat covers and other things, but left immediately without getting the Rusting issue resolved!!! Over all a Very Sad Experience! i wanted to give 1 Star, but give 3 star ONLY Because I must agree that the design of the brackets which is not very common is safer & better for the roof of the car, the metal used for the frame is thicker and welding is better than what I have seen in other shops and is better!!! If i was the Owner, i would have instantly escalated the matter to the design team(Since they are the Manufacturers not retailers) and got it resolved so that I would be content that I was able to manufacture and sell a good product and also ensure the customer got what he wanted and what he paid for if not more. Lets see what kind of reply we get from the owner!!!
