I have severe red ant infestation in my "posh" Gurgaon flat. I found these guys on a google search after calling three more outfits who did not answer the phone. A polished guy called Rajan told me that the treatment is perfectly safe, done scientifically, and even though they don't normally treat ants, they will recommend an appropriate treatment. He asked me a lot of questions about the source of ants, construct of the building and conditions around the flat. I booked treatment for the noon of a Monday. That morning my wife developed a stuffy nose and a cough. Thought it best to postpone the treatment. But by 9.00 am, Mr Rajan says "ladka nikal gaya". After I explained the situation Mr Rajan agreed to postpone till 6.00 pm by which time I expected to be home. But hey, ladka arrives at 11.00 am armed with a sachet of Rs 90 chemical from Bayer. Mixes it with tap water and asks my horrified wife "cockroach kidar hai?". She says "cockroach? Ants hain". Says the boy, "mujhe kisi ne nahin bataya. Chalo, koi nahin" and proceeds to spray Bayer's produce all over the kitchen. Utensils, food, stored dal chawal sugar tea - everywhere. Sprays clothes. Sprays randomly. And the wife's sniffles and cough turn into a full blown asthmatic attack. Mr Rajan hasn't picked up my calls since morning. Oh and the ants are back. They're swindlers. Take Rs 1200 for Rs 100 worth of stuff and a poor half literate boy's wages. Don't.
