C R Park Market No.1

This place was on my checklist since a long-time. Finally, I got the chance to visit here today and let me tell you, it definitely lives upto it's name "Mini-Calcutta". One can find all the basic necessities of a typical bengali household here. From different spices,fresh veggies and even fresh fish.A must visit when in South Delhi.

Lots of old memories associated with this area. Coming here means coming to home. I love this place. B block cr park, smell of double egg roll, cultural vibes, old style homes and strong sense of community.

Expected more than one saw. The place although has the old world charm, however doesnt offer the Bengali cuisines as one expected. Veg and non veg rolls are on offer and so are tikkas, however if you are in for typical Bengali cuisines, you will be disappointed. Sandesh etc in sweets are however available. Also has grocery shops which offer Bengali masalas.

This market provides authentic ingredients for Bengali cousine .Many masala, ghee , popped rice ,posto etc are available as a great respite for Bengalis residing in Delhi NCR. In addition this market is well known for selling a variety of fish, chicken and mutton !

Pretty good market for Bengali people who live in NCR and crave Bengali food. The fish market was awesome. Fresh fish, reasonably priced. Vegetable vendors had Typical Bengali items like Gandharaj lebu, mankachu, kachur loti, parwal etc. Fuchka was delicious at Raju Fuchkawala. The sweets and other food items that I tasted were Average, though of course in one visit I could not taste too.many. Worth a visit.

I like this area, just not beacuse that i am bengali also the culture, environment and food in cr park feel you the semi kolkata. Food junction kamala sweets, kolkata biryani house, My spice kichen, Vip sweets, Aminia are famous food joint near market no. 1. Panipuri shop near kolkata biryani house and dahi puri must try item. C.R.park kalibari also a must visit place (nearby ) Cons: every item of raw food are much costlier then other market.
