Very good daily market for Fish, Chicken, Vegetables, Sweets and groceries commonly popular for Bengali, Assamese and other Eastern India people. Some of the fish varieties (Chital, Hilsa) are a bit costly, but others are affordable. Bengali Sweets are perhaps the best available in NCR. Nalen Gur (Palm Jaggery) sweets are must try. Street foods are awesome and available particularly in the evening. Other commodities are available till 9-10 PM. The market is within walking distance from market 2.

A Bong (Bengalee, to be precise) cannot afford to miss this market given the fact that they're mostly fish lovers, especially those who belong to Kolkata. Fishes available in galore to satisfy one's need, though they are highly priced. Also, on visiting CRPark Mkt No.1 one will sense the touch of Bengalee markets of Kolkata since all sorts of typical spices and ingredients are available here. Apart from having various food/vegetable/snack stalls, the added attraction of this market are some sweetmeat shops which strongly connects with the Bengalee taste buds. Living in Delhi for professional reasons or otherwise, being a fish admirer and not visiting this market is unthinkable.

Guess a regular visitor being a Bengali.. Its a mini Calcutta with all that you need in terms of food, newspapers, books, sarees, puja items, sweets of course and varieties of fresh fish ... The fish could be cheaper but that would mean travelling further to get it...so all said and done the market is a must for those in South Delhi at least. As for my late mom, she used to come all the way from Vikas Puri in West Delhi...some 25 kms away. Brave woman she was indeed.

One stop Shop for non-veg items i.e. fish, prawn, crab, mutton and chicken. Most of them are fresh. You also have other general stores and fast food eateries. There's also a temple.

Agar app Bengali mithai , phuchka/panipuri, aur bohot saari Bengali food khana chahti ho , this market sahi hain. Parentu bohot sari mithai dukan to hain lekin kuch dukan ki mithai swad Bengali mithai jaisa nhi hai.

Best place for Bengali foods with full of Bengali cuisines. Have good fish market and good sweet shops. Best place to hang around for bongs. Also known as mini Kolkata.

Its all a bengali living in Delhi needs. Ranging from local fries like "chop" to chicken roll and fish fries it has got everything one need when he/she is homesick. All the shopkeepers here speak bengali and most of the signs are here in bengali. Plus it also got some cool eateries to quench your thirst for homely food. Must visit place.

Good market. You can get best fishes from here. It's a Bengali market.. all Bengali sweets & food you can get from there. Also you can get everything to related Bengali culture. So go and try bengoli food. 😊 …

I visit the place mainly for buying fish as the fish there is fresh. Would not recommend the sweet shops as they are very sweet and not Bengal-standard. The food shops and grocery stores are well-stocked with Bengali foods!

Like Little India of Singapore I am tempted to call it Little Bengal of New Delhi. A fish market will always have that fishy smell, non fish lovers will call it stink. Forget the rubbish dig for the variety and freshness of the fish. Bargain in vain, buy the vegetables that you fancied in Bengal. Once in a while try your kind of Biriyani and rolls and dream you are not in Delhi but in Bengal.
