C R Park Market No.1

I am a regular visitor to this market since 2000. And there are some specific shops i visit. Kolkata kathi roll for snacks. Kamla sweet. Kalimata bhandar for Puja samagri. Sanjeev store for daily uses. KP enterprises for fish. I find the price and quantity of products & also the behaviour of owner is good. In general it is a good market to shop.

This is a very familiar place for me. Picked up some typical " Bong" items used for cooking and and also had Chicken cutlets which were yummy. The market was as dirty as ever and the rains made it worse. I will go back again

Not a big market.. but u have few vegetable shops and few fruit shops with many grocery shops. Fish, prawns, chicken and mutton shops are adequate enuf to purchase.

Visit here for the best catch of fresh seafood, especially sweet water fish

Visited CR Park on 2nd February 2022 to do shopping for the Saraswati Puja. Bengalees perform this puja on the Basant Panchami every year. The main purpose was to purchase the Saraswati idol. I had to buy one, but the price was exorbitant, without any reason. Had I known another place in Delhi where you get such idols, I wouldn't have purchased it from CR Park. Many of you know, that it's a small market where you have the eateries on the front row and some grocery shops inside the market. Next to the small temple, there is a dedicated place for fish, which is the famous fish market of CR Park. Coming back to my experience - even other items which I bought from the Dashkarma bhandar for the puja was highly priced. I was hungry and a bit greedy. So grabbed a egg chicken roll from one of the front row shops selling the same. It was below average and double the price of such rolls, available in Dwarka, where I live and needles to say much tasty. However, the shop was crowded and many had placed their orders. We also bought Chinese items like chuli chicken, soya chap, rice for dinner, which was equally tasteless. Got rajbhog from one of the sweet shops but disappointed too. None of the guests who consumed the rajbhog was happy. Please dont go by the sheer size of the rajbhog, like me. Overall CR Park experience was average for me. Whether I recommend or not, everyone will go, becoz it is C R park. But if it is not absolutely required dont travel all the way to this place, for fish you may want to visit though. Stay safe people.

This place is a food lovers paradise. If you want the spice of Kolkata street food, come to this market. Rolls, puchka, ghutno,kolkata biryani, chop , mughlai paratha, ka baba, pakoras, tea in earthen pot etc to endless. You name it you get all here. Though the environment is more bengali type but people of all community from Delhi and outside visit this market.

Went there during Durga Pooja celebrations. This place is famous for it's authentic Bengali food. If you are a vegetarian like me you won't be pleased as it is extremely difficult to find veg food.

This is a typical market with lots of garbage dumped around apart from few abandoned cars occupying the parking lots. You get all kinds of bengali foods and food items here in addition to the great bengali fishes, mutton and chicken. Two sweet shops are also there in the market. A Kali mandir fulfills the need for adding religious flavour. Overall, it is a place of convenience where you get all your daily needs.

It's a paradise for chicken and fish eater. The smell of fish is everywhere in CR Park (this is what I felt).Gol gappas have taste of Kolkata, very different from what we eat in northern side. There is no red and green water, it will be served from an earthen pot with a tinge of tamarind to it. Shopkeepers will vie for your attention by speaking in bengali, may be they think everyone is bengali here. I visited it during Durga Puja, it was packed and crammed. Ate misty dahi and it tasted OK OK, I also tried gulab jamun which were pink from inside, that was something new from me. The best in CR park was Kali temple, its design was inspired from dakshineswar or Kali temple in Kolkata, there was also a cultural event in the premises of temple and a huge crowd. Every one thronged here to get the blessing of goddess Kali. Nearest metro station was Gk on magenta line.

Had Mutton Chop, Surmai Fish Fry and Chicken Egg roll.. all three itema were decent.. Roll's parantha was little hard but the Chicken inside it was fresh, nicely marinated..
