Very good place for bengali food lovers and fish lovers. A market where I got my life's best miahti doi. You can also get fish cutlet, mutton cutlet, pakodas and puchkas here. There is a fish market also where you can get live fishes. You can get rohu, saura, pomphret etc there. Worth trying mishti doi of here once.

Market is good for finding traditional Bengali food and other items(Snacks,Sweets, vegetables), however, the cleanliness is an issue plus the area gets congested with traffic.

Went there for Kolkata Biryani for having Chicken Biryani amazing food quality. There are some Bengali sweets shop from where you can try Mishthi Dahi and Sandesh.

It's a fish market for the bengalis. Lots of fish sellets are there displaying their varieties of fish.they have. Prices are very competitive. One can strike a good bargain during early hours of their setting up the stalls. A Rohu can range from Rs 250/= a kilo to Rs. 600 a kilo, depending on the size of the fish. A Surmai can range from 350 to 900 rupees a kilo. Pomfret lovers can purchase then for 300 to 600 rupees a pomfret. The market has a lot of flies though and I would recommend that fish needs to be washed thoroughly before being. cooked to avoid infection. Very close market to visit from Greater Kailash, Kalkaji, CR Park residents, Alaknanda and surrounding areas. u

The market only has overpriced vegetables, fruits and shops for pooja items. The Kendriya Bhandar did not have many things, I normally buy from there, porridge, lentils are dated two months. Parking is small.
