A delight to pick and choose fresh fish at good price. Since it is a mandi, it is dirty but the experience is always good. Get your own carry bags and polythene else you will be wasting time to get 1. Closed on Tuesday.

Great variety of fishes available at very reasonable prices. It is a wholesale market, however they sell on retail too. Fish clean and cutting facilities are also offered at minimal rates (Rs. 10-20/ fish) Most importantly, one could buy Hilsa fish too from here! In other words, a literal heaven for Bengalis and any fish lover. Deducting 1 point for the cleanliness. The authority definitely can do far better.

Best place to buy cheap fish, although it is crowded and crazy during morning hours. Rizwan is the best dealer although it has more prices but he is amazingly best in quality. Try to do some bargain. All types of fish available in this market for retailers and wholesalers. You can also get chicken and mutton available at some shops. But remember for Rizwan quality.

Although it is one of the largest fish and chicken Mandi but it is not maintained and lacks hygiene. There are trash all around. Roads of fish mandi are encroached by sellers who pour water and ice all over making the place slippery. It stinks too much. The entrance of murga mandi looks like hell. Demolished shops and piles of trashes including feathers of chicken etc are stewed around. Only good point is that the prices are very cheap. Also you will get fresh fish and chicken.
