Well, If you have been thinking of planting any trees but do not know where to get the plants from, this is the place. It is a govt run nursery and hence, you get a few variety of plants. I am a Govt Servant ans therefore I got plants for free, they might ask for your ID. But even if they charge, it is a very nominal price. It is right beside the road but they do not have any boards, my hands were occupied otherwise I would shave clicked the photo of the entrance, I promise I will the next time I visit. Here are the plants that are available: 1. Aloe Vera 2. Neem 3. Bel Patra 4. Kari patta 5. Guava 6. Giloy Etc.
Disappointed — Inaccurate Timings I visited the nursery today at 2:00 PM based on the Google listing showing operating hours as 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM daily. However, upon arrival, the nursery was completely closed. It's frustrating to travel there only to find it shut during listed hours. Management should please update their listing on Google Maps to reflect their actual operational hours.
One of the best places to have free plants with diverse variety. Very encouraging initiative by forest department. Helping people do spread greenery and nurture the nature. The staff guides you about species and if you have a list of plants you will get them easily if and when available. Just be kind and coperative with them. Rule - Bring your adhaar copy, and get 10 plants per month. Not pots or soil, manure fertilizer. There are 12-13 such nursery in delhi & each have different varieties of plants. Bring a carry bag plenty space for 2 wheeler parking, Less space for 4 wheeler. Best season to visit - March and August Washrooms ✅ Drinking water ✅ Make shure you take as much plants which you can take care of. Don't take free for granted. And if you want to know about caring tips the staff will give you about each variety.
