It is a one-stop showroom for the traditional handicrafts and handloom fabrics of Odisha. The stone carved idols on the patterns of the temple carvings Odisha are special attractions here. But the prices are in the higher side. It is managed by the Odisha Cooperative Handicrafts Corporation which is sponsored by the Govt. of Odisha. Genuine discounts as per the provisions of the Govt. are also available on special occasions. The showroom however closes early in the evening. So please check out if you have to go there in the evening.
I always bought silver jewellery from Big Jewellers and never thought of our state Emporiums. But I am glad I have them a try. Their silver jewellery (Tarakasi) is unique and great quality at reasonable prices. If you are looking for silver jewellery then this is the place.
Bought a handloom sambalpuri kurti ,got it on a good discount (20+10)%,Store is neat and clean ,has trial rooms,Staff is quite cooperative ,soft spoken ,and above all quality of products as usual top notch would love to come back again & again❤️
Very good and friendly staff. Although price is little higher if you compare the same product from odisha market. But still it’s okay.
All types of Odisha handicrafts , Odisha silk dresses available here at a very reasonable price.
Odisha emporium offers loads of beautiful handicrafts, sculptures, textiles, silver, office /laptop ethnic bags, baskets in all shapes, colors and sizes. I bought a smart jute file folder, jute baskets, lamp shaped cloth hangings in all possible colors for Independence day decor (to replace balloons which are harmful to birds and animals who may end up eating the remnants), a purse, beautiful umbrella all very reasonably priced.
A lovely store to check out many outstanding handloom items from Odisha. I bought a few handloom inspired bags & decorative items and it was a treat to see such beautiful sculptures all waiting for a buyer.
Very nice place. A lot of goods from Odisha state: handloom sarees, cotton and silk, stuff for Odissi dance, silver filigree jewelries and so on.
