We visited Poompuhar in Connaught Place recently. I was looking specifically for Tanjore paintings. The staff here are VERY NICE - EXTREMELY COOPERATIVE, POLITE and PLEASANT. Not only did they patiently show the items available, they tell you about its details as best as possible. Mr. Manish helped us with the Tanjore paintings and he was exemplary in his costumer care. When we'd chosen our painting he packed it with great care in multiple layers of packaging so it could make a safe trip to the US. We were very impressed with the care he took and his attention to detail. Cannot appreciate him, and the other staff in Poompuhar CP Delhi, enough. The showroom would do well if the government maintains it better, though. It seemed to be in dire need of upkeep. The products and staff are, I repeat, exemplary.
Very helpful staff. Take care of customer needs very well. Help the customer in choosing items.
Good collection of statues of bronze and saptdhatu, furnishings and jewellery, lot of artifacts from Tamilnadu. Friendly place.
This showroom is owned by the Tamilnadu Handicrafts Development Corporation. Visit here to buy a variety of authentic, high-quality Tamil crafts, from bronze statues , brass deep stambhs, Tanjore paintings and textiles. I found the staff to be very courteous and helpful.
