Not many will be knowing....but okhla subzi mandi apart from a place for vegetables and fruit is a great place for people who loves to eat. Food is available 24 hrs. here. If u are hungry even at 2-3 am in the night and u don't get many open places to eat..visit mandi and u can have pocket friendly food with amazing taste.Mandi is around 10 min away by bike from AIIMS and SAFDARJUNG hospital...nearest metro is kalkaji and govindpuri. Nearest railway station is OKHLA railway station. Things which can be tried here are... 1.Anda paranthas(u get really awesome paranthas...and belive me Moolchand is just very very hyped.)..a anda parantha cost around Rs.15-20..u do get other types of paranthas also here 2.Chicken Nahari { 60 Rs Nahari with roomali roti(2 Rs each) is just sufficient for 2 people)} 3.chicken changezi ..is really tasty 4.chicken biryani( rates vary between 80-140 Rs per kg) half kg is more than sufficient 5.boondi rayta..do try it (10 Rs) 6.seekh kawab and kalezi which is average 7.Chicken keema(i tried this for the first time in Mandi only) 8.chicken korma 9.chicken fry 10.kheer, rabdi and various sweet items 11.Lassi 12.banana shake (available in morning ) 13.Chunna aur moosa ki biryani(available in morning only) 14.shop no 12 ki kachaudi(morning) 15.Raju k chole bhature(morning)...people talk a lot about it ..but i found them just OK One disadvantage is u don't get many veg options here. Apart from the food...u can get all types of fresh vegetables and fruits at wholesell and retail price. Wholesell market is in the morning...and retail shops are functional after 12 pm.
