The Gazipur Fish Wholesale Market Is Excellent. The Variety Is Extremely Good, And, The Seafood Is Fresh. The Prices, Too, Are Quite Reasonable.
Organised wholesale, but slightly disorganised retail. That about sums it up. But, definitely quite an impressive variety of seafood and fish. You also get processed and frozen stuff, and raw mutton. Quite good, if you overlook the somewhat unhygienic conditions.
Awesome place to get fresh fish in NCR. Please keep a note that fresh fish finishes by around 9:30 am, so plan accordingly.
Lots of variety available in very less price. Well behaved traders who are very helpful too.
Here you can buy all the fish for wholesale and retail but my experience was too bad , i have not found a piece of fresh fish. Rehu , katla etc. Are not there , which was most prefered to eat. All non-veg items was packed in box with ice to supply. That is my experience, bcz only one time I visit there , so may be i m wrong. Thank u
nice place for those who wants to buy fishes in whole sale amount and retailer amount. this mandi or fish market contains huge no. of varitey of fish species at a very good and negotiable prices. And the main thing is that it is one of the largest market for fish in all over asia continent.
We get fresh stock of fishes but very limited varieties.
If your parameter is price - Its a fantastic place. You will get very cheap Prawns, Sole, Singhi, Mangur, Crabs etc. Every fish is 30-40% less than retail, Very Fresh & Good. You can get norwegian salmon also. Cleanliness & Hygiene are big issue. It's a new market still in a very dilapidated condition. Market authorities should look into it & make it clean.
It's still a tough place for retailers to find fresh fish . However you can get good stuff from wholesalers, but you need to buy good qty . Some sea fish are also available.Pomfret, prawns,surmai, rupchanda, katla,rohu ,pangus ie Indian basa , ,bam,may be singhi also you get from this place.
Fish, Crabs available at much cheaper price than local markets. Only disadvantage is you will have to buy minimum 1kg; some vendors may allow 500gm quantity if you request 2-3 times :)
