There are many procedures to make surgical masks that we put on our faces to prevent viruses and bacteria from entering our bodies. Samples are tested at many government offices and laboratories and a certificate of approval is obtained. There are many test formalities. But overnight, many famous companies have started making masks and are advertising them in the media. Are the masks that are manufactured and sold without any testing or approval really safe? Many people think that a handkerchief is a mask and cover their face, but it only blocks the dust coming from outside. But it does not prevent viruses and bacteria at all. This applies to masks made of banyan cloth and blanket cloth. Once a mask is made, it is subjected to five types of tests. Only after those tests can it be used. 1.Bacteria filtration efficiency in vitro (BFE) 2.Particle Filtration Efficiency.3. Breathing resistance.4.Splash resistance 5.Flammability. If I describe these five types of tests, the post will be long. So those who want to know the details can search on Google. Only when all these tests are followed correctly and the mask is made, the person who uses it will not get any infection. But after this corona, mask production has become a cottage industry in our country. Without any guideline and procedures, without government permission and certification from testing laboratories, they are made from banyan cloth and substandard cotton fabrics and sent for sale. Substandard masks in matching colors to the saree are available for sale on platforms and roadsides. Thinking that the police will catch you or that you will not be allowed to enter the store to buy goods if you do not wear a mask, you buy a mask available on platforms for 10 rupees and use it repeatedly, but the risk is very high. There are many advertisements now that it is reusable. That applies only to my 95,98 types of masks. Everything else is just a waste. Ordinary masks called surgical masks have the ability to prevent bacteria up to 0.3 microns in size from entering. My 95,98 masks have the ability to prevent bacteria up to 0.1 microns in size and viruses. For those who are forced to go out regularly, only my 95,98 masks are the best choice. It is a little costly. But if you look at whether life is important or money is important, life is important in the current situation. It is better to buy and use approved surgical and N95,98 masks from medical shops and shops that are allowed to sell them. (Sales men should learn how to behave customers. Management is very poor) One last piece of information. Millions of masks are currently being used by people in India. If the Corona period is over and people decide not to wear masks, the masks thrown away by people are the ones that pose the greatest health risk. It would be good if the government created awareness among the people about how to dispose of them after using them.
