We found working with Chapter 2 Events a very pleasant and smooth experience. They understood our requirements in detail and managed to execute things above our expectations. They were initially hired as wedding co-ordinators for us as the groom's side (approx. 250 guests), however their ability to take control ended up having them as the wedding co-ordinators for all guests (600 guests). They are particularly useful in dealing with all types of vendors & making sure things run smoothly on the day. They are resourceful & their experience & understanding of the business helps with reduction in overall costs. Their ability to create relationships with overseas hotel management, vendors from different cultures and languages is also worth noting - in fact in Switzerland, they took additional steps to bring a French speaking event co-ordinator on board to bridge any gap in communication. They have a pretty hands on approach and can be relied upon the big day for things to run as per planned!

What is the role of a wedding planner? - Curator? Coordinator? Carer? What we quickly learned was that planners are the custodian of a couples vision - as simple as that sounds, it’s a fully loaded responsibility. I can say with absolute conviction that C2E and Kunal Laungani was a master custodian. Entering a new market is always difficult, especially when it is geographically and socially foreign from your own. However Kunal was able to strike a perfect balance between humility and persistence in order to ensure we were striving for perfection with every event and every experience. Translating the “Indian-ness” we wanted in a city that was barely exposed to Indian anything was his greatest accomplishment. Helping deliver the destination wedding of our dreams will be his greatest memory. C2E was able to assimilate themselves into the dynamics of our families and guide the collective group toward winning outcomes. Always managing to ensure that the couple came first and that all decisions were backstopped by our vision. This by no means was an easy task, particularly when our wedding was a tri-cultural bonanza. Having spent the last 5 years being in-and-out of Porto, I can safely say that the city had never seen a wedding like this, and our local guests that attended could only hope to relive that weekend in their hometown. I can’t speak on behalf of other planners in the ecosystem, but I can say with full conviction that Kunal and his team at C2E are truly one of a kind. I’d vouch for them time and again and he will forever be part of our story.

Team C2E led by Kunal has been instrumental in planning weddings for both of my brothers. We couldn’t have asked for more. For beautiful exotic locations, Kunal is the go-to person. He upped the excitement levels by introducing unconventional destinations such as Baku, Azerbaijan for one wedding which involved shifting the entire wedding from Kazakhstan and then Antalya, Turkey considering the logistical requirements for the second wedding. We left our happy impressions at these destinations with professionally and carefully crafted weddings, something which Kunal has in abundance along with excellent managerial skills. Be it arranging the Indian chefs in Turkey, handling everything from vendors to venues in Serbia despite language barriers to troubleshooting for any and all situations, Kunal & his team are dedicated and devoted to their profession.

James and I were lucky enough to have the C2E family as part of our wedding planning. Despite a 2 year hiatus due to COVID and logistical challenges, the team were always at hand for FAQs and any bespoke requests. They arranged regular organised and business-like virtual meetings, presentations and slideshows to keep everyone informed on every detail, yet still maintained the warmth and compassion of Indian hospitality. They understood our personalities instantly and produced decor and event ideas that reflected us perfectly. They were patient and humble with multiple family members and led with grace. During the festivities, they became every guest's best friend and stimulated the party vibes, whilst ensuring the smooth running of events effortlessly. They really made the experience of a big, fat Indian wedding a breeze for us and ensured that we were not overwhelmed at any point.
