I recently underwent a corneal tattooing procedure combined with laser treatment, and I wanted to share my honest experience for anyone considering it. The primary reason for opting for corneal tattooing was cosmetic improvement due to a noticeable opacity in my eye. After consulting with my ophthalmologist, I was advised that a combination of corneal tattooing and laser-assisted refinement could provide better visual symmetry and a more natural appearance. The procedure itself was relatively quick and performed under local anesthesia. I experienced minimal discomfort during the process—mostly a mild pressure sensation rather than pain. The laser part of the treatment was precise and seemed to enhance the final finish of the tattoo, helping it blend more naturally with the surrounding iris. Post-procedure recovery took a few weeks. There was some redness, light sensitivity, and slight irritation in the first few days, which gradually subsided with prescribed eye drops and proper care.
