Beautiful forest near Indore. There are swings. The terrain is scenic and quiet. Food ( dal bafala laddoo) is tasty sumptuous and fresh. If you wish to go with family or in a group to a safe picnic place , this is the right place. Go enjoy your weekend and independence day

I went on the inaugural guided walk of the Unrikheda Eco Jungle, which was jointly organized by THE YOUTH HOSTEL ASSOCIATION OF INDIA, INDORE CITY BRANCH and The Forest Department, Indore. We had a nice breakfast and later we were taken around the place which is almost 8 kms long and some 4 kms wide. We saw remains of preys hunted and eaten by the hunting animals in the Eco jungle. There were small wetlands also making it a safe heaven for butterflies 🦋, frogs 🐸 and snakes 🐍. We were challenged by the guide to climb the 200 feet small hillock which we did and at the top we took Darshan in temple and also had a Beauteous Darshan of the City of Indore and the greenery around. We descended back to have sumptuous Indorean lunch of Daal Baphle Laddu.... it was a nice experience at very reasonable rates of ₹ 250/- which included Entry charges, Breakfast, Lunch and Tea along with Guided tour. We recommend that tour route should have more signboards and also give the Botanical and Common names of Trees in the Jungle. Purified water (like UV filter) is also required and no need to say good Toilet facilities are wanted. At evening, the lighting around entry/exit gates and reception area is not proper and needs improvement. Rest it is a haven so near a big urban area like Indore. Hari 🕉 Tatsat

Umrikheda Eco Jungle Camp situated on Indore-khandwa highway just few meters before chokhi dhani and infront of vindhya college. An amazing place if you love nature , forest and hiking , which is the most adventures and thrilling thing to do here. Peaceful environment and sound of birds and insects gives an different and unique relaxation. Plastic is prohibited here and throwing garbage in jungle is illegal.
