The famous, grand Kanch Mandir (Glass Temple) of Madhya Pradesh is located a short distance away in Indore, Ujjain does house a beautifully constructed local Jain temple known for its mirroring and glasswork, alongside some prominent glass shrines nearby. Here is the details for the glass temples in Ujjain and the wider region: 1. Kaanch Ka Shitalnath Jain Mandir (Ujjain) If you are looking specifically within Ujjain city, there is a serene local Jain temple dedicated to Lord Shitalnath (the 10th Tirthankara of Jainism) located in the Suraj Nagar area. Upon visiting this site, we discovered that the entire interior of the temple was constructed from glass; the walls and ceiling featured captivating designs created using glass in various shapes and forms. The temple's astonishing interior exuded a serene and pleasant atmosphere. Many tourists—both Jain and Hindu—were observed visiting the site. The exterior premises of the temple were extremely bustling and lined with shops, while the street on both sides was thronged with crowds. ir is one of the most famous attractions in Indore. The location is excellent—it is very easy to find and individual can comfortably reach here using local transport. It is a beautiful Jain temple. You might not realize its true beauty just by looking at it from the outside, but once you step inside, you will be absolutely mesmerized. The glass craftsmanship is outstanding, and the atmosphere inside is extremely peaceful. The temple is very well-maintained and has good security.
