I boast to be the first student of Rangshala, more than 25 years back. A lot has changed there, for sake of progress, but still many things remain the same. Sanjay sir continues to bring out best in all students, of every age group with his gentle guidance. The calm and serene atmosphere helps you to concentrate and build an artistic flow. Every student that goes there is still connected. No one cannot forget the calm and growth they experienced there, not only in terms of art but also in space of mind. If you want to do things on your own, this is the place for you.

One of its kind place to learn art from very basic, the owner Sanjay sir has a unique way to teaching, he teaches every student in a manner that keeps the inherent art by only correcting when necessary and learn as per their skills, one peculiar thing is he always starts from the basics so that a strong foundation is made. I joined class for a brief period almost a decade back, and re-discovered myself, by his guidance I could make sketches which I cannot even imagine I could, whenever I see my work I still feel it was impossible to create without his teachings and guidance. PS - it's a perfect place to prepare for NID, NIFT, BFA,MFA or just persuing hobby which I did.

I recently attended the Rangshala and it was a wonderful and inspiring experience. The instructor, Sanjay imlay sir , was especially patient and knowledgeable and helped me improve my skill, e.g., watercolor technique,oil painting, charcoal. The studio atmosphere is very relaxing , making it easy to get into the creative flow. I’d highly recommend this to anyone, whether you're a total beginner or an experienced artist!"
