Do NOT buy a policy from SBI Life. Horrible experience, unprofessional staff, and sheer negligence. I was sold a policy after being given incorrect and misleading information by their sales representative. When I chose to cancel within the free-look period, I followed the proper procedure and asked them to surrender the policy — but they repeatedly delayed, ignored my requests, and let the free-look window lapse. Instead of taking responsibility, their employees were evasive, rude, and completely unhelpful. This is not a mistake — it’s careless, unacceptable behaviour that cost me time, peace of mind, and potentially money. Key problems: Misleading information at sale from their employee(s). Failed to process surrender/cancellation during the free-look period. Constant lack of response, excuses, and unprofessional conduct. No accountability or timely resolution. I expected professional service and basic honesty. What I got was incompetence and indifference. If you value clear information, prompt action, and respectful communication, stay away. Keep written proof of every conversation, and don’t trust verbal assurances from their staff. I’ve filed complaints but the attitude from the company has been dismissive. If SBI Life cannot even honour the free-look cancellation properly, they do not deserve your trust or money. Final word: Avoid SBI Life. Look for insurers with transparent processes and responsive customer service. Don’t let their careless staff ruin your finances or peace of mind.
