Title: Disappointed with “Happy Vacation” via Travel Triangle – Misleading Room Booking & Dishonest Communication I recently booked a Thailand trip (covering Phi Phi Island, Krabi, and Koh Samui) through Travel Triangle, who assigned the agency Happy Vacation (handled by Devang) to plan and execute our itinerary. While the trip overall went smoothly in terms of logistics, I feel cheated in one major aspect. We had paid for a higher category room in Koh Samui, but were given a basic category room instead. This was despite my repeated follow-ups before the trip to confirm that the rooms would be as per the itinerary. When I raised this issue with Devang from Happy Vacation during the trip, instead of accepting the mistake or resolving it, he denied responsibility, claimed they did not earn any profit from the booking, and refused to give any written proof to back up his claims. The conversation quickly shifted from problem-solving to defending themselves and even lying to us. This kind of misleading practice is unacceptable. A travel agent’s job is to provide what is promised and paid for — not to quietly downgrade and then deny it when caught. My advice to other travelers: • Double-check all hotel bookings directly with the property before your trip. • Get every commitment in writing. • Be cautious while dealing with Happy Vacation and with Travel Triangle’s assigned partners. This was a lesson learned the hard way for us. While the destination was beautiful, the dishonesty from the agent left a bitter taste.
