Unsatisfactory Service and Unhygienic Bathroom I was thoroughly disappointed with the level of service during my stay. Housekeeping was severely lacking—we were not provided with basic towels or napkins, and the complimentary tea/coffee station was never properly restocked. To make matters worse, the bathroom had virtually no water flow and the shower pipe was rusted. Basic maintenance and hospitality standards were clearly missed. Great hotel. Service could have been better - staff disturbed at 11.30pm asking whether I needed water which was weird. Facility was excellent although wifi was slightly weak in the bed side of the room - had full bars otherwise in other areas of the room. Food and amenities are very overpriced.

HRJ Sarovar Portico, Indore Had a good stay at HRJ Sarovar Portico while traveling to Omkareshwar. The location near Regal Square is very convenient and easily approachable. Room service was excellent—quick, responsive, and well-managed. Food quality and quantity (overall) were impressive, making the stay comfortable. We left early morning for Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga, which is about a 2-hour cab journey from here. However, breakfast needs improvement. Tea quality was average, dosa batter was disappointing, though coconut chutney was good. Too many fried items like aloo vada and bread pakoda—adding better options like tawa paratha would enhance the experience. Overall, a pleasant stay with scope to improve breakfast quality. I would like to highlight a serious incident that occurred during my stay. I strongly advise others to think twice before booking this hotel. The hotel’s interiors are old and poorly maintained, and the overall service and staff response were extremely disappointing. Late at night, a section of the plywood ceiling fell on me inside my room, causing an accident. What was even more concerning was the staff’s response. They did not know how to handle the situation, could not arrange a basic first-aid kit, did not call a doctor, and never even checked if I was okay. There was a complete lack of urgency and concern for guest safety. The next morning, the staff approached me and offered a 50% discount as a goodwill gesture, but that does not make up for such a serious safety lapse. This was clearly a maintenance failure. The plywood appeared to have been attached only with glue and not properly secured, posing a serious risk to anyone staying there. Such negligence could have resulted in a much more severe injury. One of the worst hotel I have ever seen - showing 4 star hotel but facilities are not as par. Rooms are very small not at all spacious, mini fridge also not available, Reception desk and room dining doesn't pick call I tried calling at 11:30 pm but no response from any of them, my room TV was also having bad sound system and clarity issues was there in TV, the corridor was also too much noicy by other guests, bedsheets and pillow covers were also not much neat they were having oil patches over them. Excellent location and a very comfortable stay! I recently stayed at Sarovar Portico in Indore, and I had a wonderful experience. The biggest highlight is definitely its location right at Regal Square—it's super close to the railway station, and iconic spots like Chappan Dukan and Rajwada are easily accessible. The staff was incredibly courteous and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were clean, modern, and well-maintained. We had a wonderful stay at Sarovar Portico, Indore while celebrating my parents’ anniversary. The staff was incredibly sweet, welcoming, and very helpful throughout our stay. Their hospitality made the experience even more special for our family. A special thank you to Yana for arranging the surprise and making the celebration so memorable. Our room was beautifully decorated by Ankit, which made the occasion feel even more special. They also surprised us with a complimentary cake, which was such a thoughtful gesture. These small details truly made our parents’ anniversary celebration perfect.
